Persecution at the Hands of the "Religion of Peace"

October 6, 2010
Christian Freedom International There are hundreds of times more terrorist attacks against innocent people and Christians than there were sixty years ago. To make matters worse, now the United States government sympathizes more than ever with the Muslim "religion of peace." But how will this portend for Christians in Pakistan or Indonesia? As the United States abandons its Christian heritage, don't count on persecution lightening up anytime too soon in Muslim and Communist countries. James Jacobson is president of Christian Freedom International, an advocate organization for persecuted Christians around the world. Jim explains why persecution is on the rise, and what we can and should do about it - on a personal level and on a political level.

The rise of a virulent strain of pugnacious atheism in the present time, calls for a proper response from Christians. This is precisely what Ray Comfort provides us in his new book "You can Lead an Atheist to Evidence, but You Can't Make Him Think."   Thought-provoking.  Warm-hearted. Humble boldness.  You're supposed to be ready to give an answer to every man (including atheists), for the hope that is within you.  Ray will help you get ready to give that answer!

Interview: Stuart Scott There is a thin line between lazy, presumptuous parenting and faithless, worried, control freak parenting. Call it "Faithful Parenting." We plant seeds and we water and water the little plants, trusting that God will bring forth the fruit. Stuart Scott is a co-author of a new book "The Faithful Parent, A Biblical Guide to Raising a Family." Stuart also presents some helpful ideas for special cases as Single Parents and Blended Families.

America Still Holding the Wild Card While losing liberty to a quickly expanding national, centralized government in this country, America has regained freedoms in several areas since 1970 -  Home Schooling Freedoms and Gun Rights.  Kevin Swanson interviews Erich Pratt, Communications Director for Gun Owners of America (and homeschooling father of 11), on the importance of the Second Amendment.  While other freedoms are lost, for some reason Americans want to retain this last bastion of freedom.  But for what purpose?  We also discuss the biblical basis for family-protection

Oh yeah, what does God want? More Americans can name the Brady Bunch or what's in a Big Mac than can enumerate the Ten Commandments. If God expects us to "keep His commandments," (Rev. 12:17), it would be good to know what that means.  Deuteronomy 6:7 speaks of teaching our children the ten commandments (referred to in Deuteronomy 5), so it would be important to…say…teach our children the ten commandments (among the other things we teach them).  A BASIC, BASIC PROGRAM for our listeners.

Real Accountability Kevin Swanson and Marcus Serven discuss the challenges and the blessings of forming a relational church in an institutionalized, programmic day. Creating an atmosphere in which people can sin against each other and be forgiven, and forgive is a strange phenomena in a day where isolation is the status quo. It's a mess! But it's God's mess. Just a couple of shepherds with muddy boots clomp into the studio to talk this one through!

Impeach the Judges or Modify the Constitutions? Increasingly, federal and state courts are legislating from the bench, usurping power not delegated to them. But why do the people elect the men who appoint them? And why are judges typically far more liberal than the people doing the electing? Kevin Swanson interviews Bob Vander Plaats, representing Iowa for Freedom in his attempts to reform the judicial system in Iowa. While the referendum processes were intended to allow for a balance of powers, it will be our leaders and the universities they attend that will set the direction for the country. So is it really worthwhile passing legislation to modify constitutions, when the judges will interpret the constitutions any which way they want to? This may be the time for Judicial impeachments. But more importantly, what do we do about the universities and law schools that set the philosophical directions for the nation?

Offending the teachers A group of Christian students in a New Mexico school where suspended because they gave their teachers a gift, a box of Krispy Kreme Donuts. This was no ordinary box of Krispy Kreme donuts though, this box had Psalm 139 on it. The teachers were greatly offended & immediately suspended some of the students & punished the rest by making them spend 4 hours on a Saturday sitting alone in the classroom. Is there a battle of worldviews going on here? Also completely unrelated to this story, the principal of that New Mexico school said "I do not like Christians". Kevin & Dave analyze this story & discuss how to train your children to cast down corrupt worldviews & everything that exalts itself above the name of Christ.

Interview: Author Chris Brauns What distinguishes a Christian above all is the capacity and the willingness to forgive. But forgiveness is a lost art, especially when it is hardly taught or practiced. If we are trying to rebuild the family, renew family relationships, and strengthen marriages, it simply WILL NOT HAPPEN unless we learn to live the life of forgiveness. In one of the most powerful interviews we’ve ever done, Author Chris Brauns unpacks forgiveness, clears up a number of misconceptions, and provides a terrific vision for a life bathed in forgiveness!
