May 11, 2012
While the civil union bills are being addressed at the Capitol, the churches are capitulating on fornication, divorce, and even homosexuality. Are churches increasingly afraid to confront homosexuality? Kevin Swanson addresses Al Mohler’s recent interaction with the megachurch movement on these issues.

A major evangelical church leader in America recently informs his radio audience, "Kids are no longer an asset. Children are a liability." He doesn't warn about the abortifacient qualities of the pill, and he's encouraging birth control, big time! Gotta push that birth rate back down to 1.3! Kevin Swanson presents the OTHER worldview on this edition of Generations.

Can anybody call in an anonymous tip regarding drugs in your car trunk, bodies buried in your basement, and surface-to-air missiles buried under the tulip bed in your garden? Will the police be investigating you every other week? How does this apply to the social services? Kevin Swanson interviews Jim Mason, attorney for Home School Legal Defense Association on another Anonymous Tip - Inspired, Social Services Inquisition. It's the Loudermilk Case. We review the state of the case, recently appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Eight states in America provide Civil Unions for homosexuals. Four states were added to the list just last year! Will the ninth state be Colorado? Colorado is a battleground state and has been since the early 1990s. As of this morning, Colorado SB 002 is on track to pass the House unless the Republican majority leadership assumes the courage to stop it. Presently, two facts seem to be emerging. The pro-homosexual lobby is growing in strength and epistemological self-consciousness. The other side is floundering and epistemologically unconscious. But, in the end, we win. They’re not having children, and we’re having five per family. What’s the strategy to fighting for the family, the basic foundation for any healthy society? Have a family! Have a lot of families and a lot of children! The self-centered, myopic, narcissistic existentialists will die out. They always do. This program includes interviews with Treon Goossen and Bill Roach, both of whom attended the recent hearings at the House Judiciary Committee on SB 002.

Charles Darwin was arguably the most influential man in the Western world. However, not many people have the courage to present the man as he really was. Dr. Jerry Bergman presents facts about Charles Darwin that are readily accessible—but hardly well-known among the masses. But the real question that we keep asking is this: “How could a mental case, a sadist, a plagiarist, a racist, and a sexist have such an impact on billions of people and the millions of scientists and university professors who lead in the modern world?”

The stories are pouring in as the apostasy continues. Nice little homeschool girls turn into raging, feminist atheists. But why? God is sovereign over all things, but there are issues of human responsibility we can talk about. Some say that the majority of homeschooling graduates and Christian school graduates are fading away from the Christian faith and turning into humanists, feminists, and atheists. 50% of the Millennials raised in a church are no longer associated with any church. Many more are looking for the flakiest church they can find. So what gives? On this edition of Generations, Kevin Swanson interacts with questions related to classical education, colleges, and the apostasy of Christian kids.

If Congress Won't Act, I Will! That's the new campaign cry for the Barack Obama 2012 candidacy. The Executive Orders are picking up, although not to the levels of Bill Clinton hit (as yet). Are we moving closer to a dictatorship? Dictatorships are much more efficient when it comes to centralizing power and "getting things done" (at least if you are talking about governmental involvement in our lives and the rise of tyranny). Steve Vaughn joins us to talk about the recent scandals in Washington and the move towards dictatorship (as we follow the old Roman pattern from Republic to Empire). With the failure of the Christian faith in this country and the religious pluralism allowed in our public institutions, the doors are opening to animal sacrifice and even human sacrifice. A recent attempt at a human sacrifice in San Diego failed to gain public acceptance (for now). Kevin Swanson emphasizes the importance of biblical law to halt the growth of paganism in our churches and communities.

How does a church develop a music form for people who come out of a fragmented culture—when the youth are attached to one form and the older generation hold onto another? What if all roots in historical forms have been severed? Is there a secular-sacred distinction to be drawn into worship? Do we use forms that are wholly unfamiliar to the people who come into worship? These happen to be some of the more controversial issues being discussed within the church today. Here Kevin Swanson interviews Gregory Wilbur on his compositions for worship music contained in the Ligonier compilation “My Cry Ascends.”

Over 70% of children born in the inner city are born without fathers. The problems seem to be getting worse with each decade, especially in the inner city. Is there any hope for the family in these present conditions? Where there is Christ, of course there is always hope! Both Germaine and Terese Bellamy were raised by single mothers in California. Here is a story of redemption and reconstruction of family life. If it can happen with one family, it can happen for millions more. Germaine and Terese tell their story, and then they share how God is using them to disciple more young men and women in the Word and ways of God.

2012 is a big year for the New Age crowd. Some believe that December 21, 2012 brings in a new eschaton. The influence of New Age thinking on language, education, politics, culture, and medicine has been immense (especially over the last 20 years or so). Here we analyze New Age thinking and discuss the questions of yoga, alchemy, and water witching.

There are 1,183,700 violent crimes committed in the public schools in a given year, according to reports from the Department of Education and the Department of Justice. But there are only 1,209,000 violent crimes reported to the police in any given year—in the entire country! So what gives? Many violent crimes happening in schools are not reported to the police, including half of the “serious” violent incidents. Why are there more violent crimes happening in the public schools than on the streets? Are parents aware of the pressure cooker of violence simmering away in public schools in the present day? In the wake of the Voice of the Martyrs tragedy, Kevin Swanson also addresses the problem of suicide among “professing” Christians.
