Egalitarians or Dominion Takers?
Must our daughters feel locked into a socialist framework for life, and work to perpetuate the economic dis-integration of the household? Or do we train them to be do-nothings that care little for the economic well-being of the home, as they sit around eating bon-bons and dreaming of Prince Charming?
To answer these difficult questions, Kevin Swanson interviews Elizabeth and Anna Botkin on their groundbreaking and thoughtful book on womanhood – So Much More.

Kingdom, Church, and Culture "Whatever you do, don't engage the culture!" That's the advice coming from prominent theologians today from reformed seminaries, now reacting against whatever it was Francis Schaeffer was trying to teach us in the 1970s and 1980s. With the rejection of God's law and the radical separation of faith and life coming from a rapidly-apostatizing Christianity today, it's about time that Christians in the west develop a proper theology of kingdom, church, and culture. There are many potential traps in this discussion, and Kevin Swanson quickly outlines a biblical approach to the subject in this edition of Generations.

Hooking Up Replacing Dating Warning: We recommend that parents listen to this program before sharing it with their children. Dating is being increasingly replaced by a new trend called “hooking up.” For those of you who need a definition, it's basically what dogs do. To avoid the hassle of relationships and the emotional baggage of break ups, young people now prefer emotional detachment and the life of the vagabond. Ironically, the Generations dads also recommend the abandonment of dating, but for different reasons. We're renewing relational living! We're restoring relationships. We're looking for the very best possible husbands for our daughters, and the most compatible wives for our sons. While the world is coming apart at the seams, we're laying footers down six feet deep in our families, foundations that will hold for GENERATIONS! Included in this program is the question of marrying unbelievers, or fornicators, or ex-prostitutes.

he Oklahoma Decision In the wake of another controversy over the posting of the ten commandments in Oklahoma, and the rejection of the Christian faith on the part of our leaders, Kevin Swanson contrasts the present state of affairs with an earlier era in this nation's history. When asked if he thought America would win the conflict with England, John Adams' response was, "If we repent of our sins and fear God." Few statesmen would be caught dead saying anything like that today. But Judge Roy Moore (recent Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court) did say something like that, and he still does. Kevin Swanson interviews the Judge on his present bid for Governor of Alabama in the second segment of the program.

The Surprising Influence of a Father High rates of divorce and non-marital childbearing mean that about half of children today are likely to live some of their childhood in a home where their father does not live. The government spends $100 billion each year dealing with the problem of fatherlessness, while at the same time contributing to the problem by godless education systems, welfare programs, and bad divorce law (that does not take God's law into account.) The problem will never be fixed by government, while the hearts of fathers have yet to be turned to the sons. This will only happen one father at a time. Stephen Newell, MD, Director of a program called Men of Valor, challenges dads to be a dad, as God defines it in His Word. Whether a father is single, divorced, married and in trouble, or married and in a stable marriage, it's never too late for a father to learn what it is to be father as God meant it.

Adding Up the Abominations Evangelicals note that President Obama's Gay Pride decree added a few abominations to the list of what was celebrated under President Clinton's in the 1990s. Here Kevin Swanson considers President Obama's socialist tendencies and his Muslim sympathies, contrasting them with a biblical worldview. Think about it. What are the liberty-denying hell holes in the world? Ironically, they tend to be Communist and Muslim.

A Vision for our Young Men It's time to face the fact that we have failed in the education of young men in this nation. Our current systems either produce perpetual adolescence or feminized, intellectualized geeks - good little bureaucrats who are trained to be nice in their little cubicles. 70% of young men are not grown up by 30 years of age, and there are far more women graduating from college than men. The world has noticed. The problem is that Christians and homeschoolers have to this point ignored the issue. Kevin Swanson presents the solution and calls on Christian parents everywhere to start working TODAY on a problem that is sure to devastate a civilization.

The Courtship Principles There are those who will live their lives with their fornicating trysts, their pre-marital sexual experiences, their date and break up relationships, their three divorces, their dysfunctional relational life, their broken covenants, and their shattered families. Then there are those who have committed to save that first kiss for their wedding day. Thankfully, some communities are rejecting the 75-year experiment and consequent failure of the dating culture, and they are seeking biblical guidance in the area of courtship. Kevin Swanson interviews Christina Rogers, author of "Leave Dating Behind," on this edition of Generations.

How Education Frames the Mind of a Nation The Third Circuit Court of Appeals disallows the reading of the Bible for public school Kindergarten Show and Tell. Chief Judge Scarica doesn't want "religious texts" in the classroom, but Kevin Swanson points out that every textbook is a religious text. It's only one religious text, only one worldview that is forthrightly rejected in American public schools – the biblical worldview. Communism in Amerika? Pravda News in Russia carries an article pointing out the rise of communist tendencies in American government, remarking that freedom is dying without so much as a whimper from the masses. We take a moment to savor the irony, and then attribute the success of the rising socialist state to socialist indoctrination centers – called public schools.

The Real Villains A mass murderer was murdered by another murderer in a church where the mass murderer served as an usher. What a mess! Where do you start on a story like this? Kevin Swanson compares it to one hit man knocking off another hit man. If anybody's keeping track of the body count in all of this, here's our tally: Babies – 50,000,000. Abortion Killers – 7. But wait. Who are the real villains in this story? Kevin Swanson places the blame for the state of the nation at the feet of The Rev. Lowell Michelson and The Rev. Kristin Neitzel.

Nuclear Weapons from a Biblical Worldview North Korea. Iran. Pakistan. At least twenty nations now have enough raw material to make at least one nuclear weapon. The genie is out of the bottle and in another 50 years will be significantly larger. So how do we look at Nuclear War by way of a biblical worldview - a biblical anthropology, a biblical ethic, and a biblical soteriology. If the Romans 3 perspective of man is accurate (and we assume it is), what are odds that nuclear warheads will be flying around cities within the next few decades? If there were Christians in power who actually believed a biblical ethic on war (per Deut. 20), what sort of defense systems should we put together for our families? This is an important program if you want to keep your families alive for another generation or two.
