The Resurrection of Jesus: Myth, Religion or Science? Part 6

April 9, 2013
On three different occasions Jesus told the disciples he was going to be put to death but the third day he was going to resurrect. No second law of thermodynamics was going to keep him in the grave. All this was written in the Scriptures and it happened as recorded in time and on schedule.  It was the resurrection that convinced His disciples to change their minds about a defeated Jesus at the cross and tomb.

It is not enough to acknowledge the coming of Jesus to earth merely by a B.C. or A.D. division on the human calendar.  That was not his mission.  He came to give us answers to restore all things to their original design.  Which is why we should also have answers as we move into these post modern times.  Centuries come and go and the human conflicts do not change, only technology.  Core problems don't change and offering speculation is never the answer.

If Christian America fully understood and believed what the Resurrection of Christ accomplished, do you think we would be in this sinful mess as a nation?  Christ came to make us exceptional, something that religion could never do!

If you accept God as the Creator of all things, the universe as well as the earth, are they the results of a religious event or a scientific design? Before the birth of Christ, the Bible and archeology reveal supernatural intervention on behalf of God’s people, are they the result of a religious event or scientific manifestations? I know we call them miracles. But what to us can be interpreted as a miracle, don’t you think to God it is a natural intervention according to His original intent for His creation?

Did Jesus come to earth to establish a religion?  Can you tell me where in the Bible does it say that Jesus came to establish a religion?  I understand what tradition has done to the concept of God’s establishment of His Government on earth as it is in heaven.  I also understand that it is easier to call Christianity a religion to differentiate it as an entity of its own. Even if the atheists and secularists may come up with their own dictionary of definitions but they will never change the true meaning of the root word of religion.

After Sunday's celebration of Christ’ Resurrection, I’m sure the secularists are glad it’s over so they can continue dismantling the belief in God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and all the gobbledygook they proclaim it is.  Their goal is to continue to work with greater effort and conviction to debunk everything related to the biblical supernatural content until they achieve their goal of a world dominated by a secularist worldview. What your answer be?  I the Resurrection a myth, a religious event or scientific

As we continue following the week before Jesus' crucifixion we see him now going through a mockery of a trial and found guilty by the religious leaders who accused him of blasphemy and of calling himself King of the Jews.  But it was all in God's plan to redeem the fallen race from the clutches of sin once and for all.

In His last week on Thursday, Jesus was active as usual instructing his disciples before his arrest and crucifixion. This was the day for the preparation of the Jewish celebration of the Passover; they had been doing it for 1700 years. Since the exodus of Israel out of the Egyptian slavery that lasted 430 years the Passover had special meaning. Up until today the Jews continue to celebrate the Passover without understanding that Jesus accomplished the human liberation from sin with his sacrifice.

On a day like this, the week before Jesus was crucified almost two thousand years ago, He was working many miracles to manifest the power of God and teaching very strongly about the principles of the Kingdom of God.  People had never witnessed anything like this before which is why the Pharisees and the Scribes challenged Jesus on every turn.  You may ask, if the world was fundamentally changed by the happenings through Jesus, why does the world not look different and more in harmony with good?

It is not enough for Christianity to celebrated Easter for almost two thousand years without fully understanding the impact the event had in altering all of human history.  What percentage of Christians even come close to full comprehension? We know many religious beliefs exist in the world and they are applied to the cultures of the nations.  Not knowing God's truth does not exempt us from being held accountable.  We  must know the Scriptures and the power of God to comprehend the true meaning of Easter.

As we ponder on the happenings of Christ's last week on earth known as the Passion Week, a week that truly fundamentally transformed the world, we will see that the condition of the human race has not learned from those events that we cannot substitute or pervert God's ways without feeling the impact.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
