God's Covenant with Humanity Part 1

September 23, 2009
God chooses to only work through a covenant. He is a covenant God. As we proceed to understand God’s redemptive plan throughout history it should become clearer to us by means of Scriptural revelation that nothing short of victory is what God has in mind for His people in the here and now. Defeat is not part of God’s agenda.

God's calling includes a lifetime agreement with Him. People want the good life; millions of them attend church and want God's blessings on their own terms but overlook, ignore, or reject the requirements of total commitment. When the teachings of the church disregard the emphasis that God and Christ require people's commitment to follow them, not only do they thwart God's plans but also destroy lives.

A calling from God in our life is vital for our success in fulfilling our purpose here on earth and throughout eternity. As a created race, we are special to God for He created us in His own image after His own likeness (Gen. 1:26-27). Our nature alone makes us different from the rest of God’s creation, including the angels. We are the object of God's grace, love and mercy and yes the punishments we bring upon ourselves when we rebel against our design and purpose.

Everything about God speaks of His sovereignty, power, knowledge and will. From Genesis to Revelation we read the evidence of His sovereignty. We also read that no man or power has ever stopped Him from being who He is. As we acknowledge His sovereignty, we are mindful of His love, grace and mercy that compels us to express, "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created." (Revelation 4:11).

When we acknowledge God's sovereignty we are making a declaration that all power belongs to Him in heaven and earth, and that it is impossible for the counsels of men to defeat His purpose, "Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases"(Psa 115:3).

The God of the Bible is the Creator and He is totally committed to being involved in every aspect of His creation. He is determined to preserve it according to His Word,"So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it" (Isa. 55:11)

The time has come for the church to acknowledge the full meaning of God's sovereignty. In the past there are instances when Christianity became an overwhelming social force for good as a result of understanding the true meaning of God's sovereignty. Those times must return again if we are to survive.

God's society is made up of individuals that are redeemed by God; in a man-made society the foundation of ideas come directly from Satan's culture. Those were the new ethics, virtues and moral values of the New World order that man wanted to implement at the Tower of Babel. Their vision of the good life was now going to be in the hands of a central political power managed by the State. The idea that men can create paradise on earth without God’s presence, law, sanctions and inheritance has been an unfulfilled dream of men for thousands of years. Men without God want to be the source of meaning and be the ones to determine what is right and what is wrong.

Do you remember where you were on 9-11? We pause to extend our prayers to the families of those who lost loved ones and to those who are still losing loved ones in the two wars that ensued. There are many lessons we should have learned from that tragic event in our nation's history but are we any better for it? Tune in to hear our perspective on this shock wave that spoke so loud to the entire nation and the world, for that matter.

God's covenant serves to remind us that He has never been absent from His creation; that even now He is present with us. God's purpose in creating man was and is to enjoy a close relationship with him in order to successfully accomplish His purpose for this world.

From the very beginning of creation, we see God in total control of the historical events that take place in human history. It is up to us to understand and accept the fact that God is the one in charge and not man, we either follow God's plan and have a meaningful life or follow man's plan and pay the consequences of a miserable life full of failures.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
