Against All Adversity, Part 6

October 23, 2013
For three hundred years the early Christians took advantage of the confusions, uncertainties, hopelessness, fears, frustrations, insecurities, disappoints and much more that people were confronting daily. People desperately wanted answers and the only ones who have them were the committed Christians.  They took full advantage of this opportunity and so should we.

There's no question that early Christians faced great adversity, which makes their accomplishments more awesome and indisputable. As mentioned, they faced all kinds of adversity politically, philosophically, religiously, and even the occult. They succeeded because the Living God was with them and they were committed to Him and His principles. The first generation of Christians lived in an era under an oppressive regime known as the Roman Empire.  Christians in America are beginning to experience great persecution that will only grow in time.  How will we fare in the fight for the Kingdom of God?

It is not hard to understand why those early Christians who understood and experienced the Living God in their every day lives were totally committed to implementing the will of God even in a horrendously cultural climate like the Roman Empire to overcome it.They succeeded because they had God with them, just like Jesus promised.  They knew the difference between God’s real world and the fake world of man.

The success of the early Christians against all adversity is due to the fact that they confronted their challenges by upholding God’s Word and applied it to the challenges before them.  The Word of God and its teachings are understood and discerned through the Holy Spirit. It is impossible to understand the mind of God without the mind of Christ in the believer. The Holy Spirit within is the One who explains things to us to make sense and teaches us how everything really works.

Have you ever wondered how the early Christians accomplished such a great impact in the world? The early Christians confronted the Jews, Roman authority, and the Eastern religions that were spreading throughout the empire. Formidable enemies towards Christians who had an opposite worldview, to the one that was real, not founded in speculations, confusion, and faulty ideas. Everything about the living God and His Christ's government made perfect sense for a meaningful life and those who embraced it experienced the benefits and were not going to compromise their loyalty to the everlasting Kingdom of God and His Christ. That is how they impacted the world!

Have you ever questioned how in the world the early Christians were able to overcome and conquer the mighty Roman Empire? What does it mean for us today and the future of this nation especially as persecutions of Christians are on the rise in the world?

We are in the threshold of an all out war between the worldviews: Ideas do have consequences because all ideas are not equal! What we are seeing and hearing in all this confusion is a prelude of things to come.  Sadly, humans look to the great scientific and technological, philosophical, political and economic progress with all their benefits as the means for human salvation.

God is interested in communicating to His people what lies ahead.  An example of this is that God, through the prophet Isaiah (700-800 years BC) revealed in detail the purpose of Christ' coming and the establishment of God’s superior worldview through His birth, government, crucifixion, resurrection and earth’s complete restoration.  God is still at work and looks to let His people know what they are to accomplish in every generation.

All worldviews have similar ideas that cause them to have optimism that they will have the final dominant belief in religion, social, intellectual and political arenas that will make the world a better place. Keep in mind that only one has passed the true test of history, God’s worldview.
October 9, 2013
The dominant worldviews are Christianity, Judaism, Marxism, Islam, New Age, Humanism, and Postmodernism. Another factor to consider is that every worldview within itself is highly fragmented and divided. This is one of the reasons for the raising idea of a worldview that will unify humanity into one big happy family of nations. It will happen, but not according to man’s worldview.

In our broadcast, The Future of America  we have presented the importance of a worldview from different perspectives. By worldview we understand to mean how a person or social group interprets the world according to the beliefs about life, social institutions, the material world, the universe and even death.  Our worldview influences the way we understand and respond to the world we live in.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
