Does Jesus Care?

February 7, 2024

How often do we ask this question, does Jesus care?

When we are going through situations that just about kill us and overwhelm us to the point of death, we will often ask this question.

Depression. Even the work itself brings you down into the darkness. It depends on the state of your mind when you hear bad news, how far down and depressed you become. Despair is even worse. It can bring you down to your knees and even deeper darkness that can keep you there feeling like there is no way out. This, of course, is a lie from Satan himself.  He hates you. He doesn't want you to know that it is a lie and that Jesus loves you more than you could ever imagine. He doesn't want you to know or remember the cross and why Jesus died for you to save you from him and your sins. Listen to Laureen and Tony share there experiences with depression and despair. You can also read Laureen's book "Climbing Out Of Your Despair With God's Promises.

 There are times when you absolutely feel like you are surroundedby enemies and you know who they are. There are other times when you can’t put your finger on theproblem or where it is coming from but you know there issomething wrong Flareups seem to happen out of no where and before you know ityou’re in a full-blown war zone This could happen at home, at work, shopping, anytime andanywhere. We need to know our enemy as well as our Friend Our enemy is satan Satan would have us upset and full of fear and anxiety all of thetime; remember he is a liar1 Peter 5:88  Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant andcautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams aroundlike a lion roaring [ [a] in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize uponand devour. Our Friend is Jesus Attacks come in many forms: Gossip, false accusations, the listgoes on. Hate, and satan is hate; he hates us, and he can come upwith many ways to make a life miserable, if we let him. Jesus is love, He loves us immeasurably, and wants us to have anabundant and joyful life, feeling free of fear and anxiety. God, as I said, is love. Because he loves us He will correct us.This can be uncomfortable and we think He is mad at us for lettingus go through something that we don’t particularly want to gothrough.

About Living With Victory

Life can drag us through a darkness that makes us believe there is no light.

There is Light, His name is JESUS! Brighter than any darkness can appear.

Laureen and Tony want to share their life stories of hope and encouragement through their faith in Jesus Christ with you.

You too can find peace, joy, and victory in life. It's not about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain, with Jesus as your umbrella.

About Laureen and Tony Giorgio

When God brought Laureen and Tony together on a blind date in 1964 they were two completely different people. Laureen was brought up in a church her grandmother founded and Tony grew up on the streets of New York. God knew what He was doing though because for 57 years during their marriage, they have been reaching out and helping people through their storms, teaching that life isn’t about waiting for the storms to pass it’s about learning to dance in the rain with spiritual perseverance and faith, above all, in Jesus Christ.

Illness and financial storms that they experienced the first ten years of their marriage, forced them to leave New York and move to Florida. In 1983 Laureen and Tony founded Compassion Children’s Foundation, Inc., advocating for more than 30 years throughout the country for many families with seriously ill children who were falling through the cracks. They worked tirelessly to make sure these children received their treatments, regardless of lack of insurance or finances.

In 2004 thinking it was time to retire, they moved to the mountains of Western North Carolina. However, they felt that God wanted them to continue through Living with Victory Ministries, Inc. and have a podcast ministry called Living with Victory.

They want to share how God, through His Word, brought them and others through their storms, from bankruptcy to breast cancer and so much more. They feel, that because they have been through many storms themselves, knowing what it feels like to be afflicted and to know the hopelessness that can, at times, stop you from even praying. Laureen and Tony talk about their own storms in a very transparent way and the mistakes they have made. The couple want you to know that through reading God’s Word and learning to lean on and fully trust Jesus, who died and rose again, you can have Peace, Joy and Victory in the midst of your storms because “Jesus is your Umbrella!”

Along with their podcast ministry, Laureen’s book, of hope and encouragement, now on Amazon/Kindle Climbing Out of Your Despair with God’s Promises and her articles will, hopefully, inspire you in your daily walk with the Lord. All proceeds from Climbing Out of Your Despair with God’s Promises go to Living with Victory Ministries, Inc.
