The Very Definition of Tyrant - $135,000 Fine for Not Baking a Cake

October 6, 2015
We don’t use the word much anymore, but we think it’s time to bring it back into our vocabulary:  “Tyrant.”  A judge fined Aaron and Melissa Klein $135,000 for not baking a cake.  Now there’s a good definition of it! Kevin Swanson interviews Aaron Klein on how they lost their bakery business to government bureaucrats in Oregon, after facing exorbitant fines for not baking a cake.
This program includes:

Justice or mercy?  Should Georgia put to death a Christian woman if she murdered her husband and repents of it? Should the government be partial to homosexuals and drug addicts who contract HIV/AIDS?   Should they provide $60,000 per year to keep these folks alive, or should they rather prefer to give the $60,000 to diabetics and children with congenital diseases instead?  Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss the purpose of government and the biblical definition of justice.  How does mercy trump judgement?  It certainly doesn’t happen by way of the liberal pseudo-charitable systems. This program includes:1. The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (Oregon Shooter Posted Plans on Social Media, Cargo Ship Lost in Hurricane Joaquin, 16 Killed in Afghanistan Hospital)2. Generations with Vision

Kevin Swanson takes a look at the most popular books and television programs in the country. We review James Patterson’s Spy Novels and John Green’s “Fault in our Stars.” Then we move on to HBO’s Game of Thrones, the winner of 12 Emmys this year. The liberal media calls it exploitative and gratuitous, the worst depiction of sensuality ever, and yet they are happy to award the program with 12 Emmys. What gives? Kevin Swanson contrasts the celluloid screen stuff to the Roman pagan games in the Coliseum, and concludes that the Lord Jesus Christ still reigns over the world. This program includes:1. Americans love Planned Parenthood! Only 29% of Americans would pull its funding. Kevin Swanson attempts to identify the reasons why so many people love Planned Parenthood. CEO Cecile Richards explained to Congress that only 3400 babies are cut up and distributed to research organizations each year. They don't really need the extra money from the baby body parts, as long as they get a bonus of $500 million from the feds. This program includes:1. They come across as shrill, ugly, convoluted, and ignorant. They take up the wrong message, the wrong method, and the wrong venues. . . perfect caricatures for the liberal crowd who didn’t want to take Christians seriously anyway. Kevin Swanson contrasts their approach with the biblical record and finds them “wanting.” This leads to a larger question - how do you know a cult when you see one? How does Jesus Christ call sinners to repentance? This program includes:1. The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (Planned Parenthood on the Hot Seat, Doctor Loses Position for Addressing Homosexual Health Problem, Barack Obama on Religious Freedom)2. Time Magazine and Breitbart remind women of the accumulating bad news for marriage prospects. Sexbots, de-personalized sexuality, male to female ratios are sagging the porn problem has metastasized, and the college male-female ratio is only exasperating the problem. Orthodox Jews and Mormons work their pitiful make-shift solutions, but what would Christians do about it? The Scriptures are actually pretty straight-forward, and the Gospel can address the worst possible scenario. This program includes:1. Dark secrets with March of Dimes are surfacing via the news organizations. The word is getting out that the organization is involved in fetal baby part research. Should Christians support these charitable operations? Here, we compare the biblical approach to charity with that represented by our modern systems. This program includes:1. World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (Chinese Christian Man Arrested Again, Duggar's New TLC Program, John Boehner Resigns)2. Generations with Kevin Swanson

As the public schools turn increasingly godless and ungodly with every year that goes by, Christian parents must be increasingly cautious with these institutions. The brave new schools are ever more pro-homosexual and pro-Islam. There are hardly any more important decision to be made in your life, than the form of education to be used for your children. Kevin Swanson does not back away from warning parents about the pitfalls associated with these godless and ungodly institutions. This program includes:1. The pope pays a visit to our country, and speaks to the President about climate change, tolerance, and economic inequality. But, where's the Gospel? Where's the beef? Where's the mention of the salient sins of the day, and a call to repentance. We compare the Pope to Paul, and get to what this nation really needs on this program. Also, the President appoints the first homosexual to head the United States army. Kevin Swanson provides some encouragement for Christians who must work for homosexuals in the armed forces or the business world. This program includes:1. The Federal Reserve blinked again. For the life of them, they can't seem to increase the prime. And that's because here is major wobble in the first domino - more wobble than what we saw in 2007 (prior to the last recession). . . . a higher debt-to-GDP ratio in all the developed nations, etc. etc. But Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack get down to the real cause of the problem. A letter from Darwin on 24 November, 1880 rejected the Bible as divine revelation. This program includes: The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (Fired for Being a Christian, Doritos Unabashedly Pro-Homosexual, Pro-life Leaders Trying to Determine the Best Way to Defund Planned Parenthood) Generations with Kevin Swanson

The Old Testament prophets would preach against cultural and national sins. Paul addresses the sins of the Cretans. But, why won’t American pastors preach against national sins, and talk religious liberty issues on a Sunday morning? Kevin Swanson refers to a Barna survey indicating the lack of discipleship (in some of the things we are taught in the Word of God). Then, we look at the CNN Republican Presidential debate, and analyze the candidates on ability, the fear of God, covetousness, and truth. Which candidate should Christians go for in the 2016 elections? This program includes: 1. The World View in Five Minutes (Mark One Win for Obamacare Contraceptive Mandate Appeal, Crisis Developing for Dementia, Record Emmy Wins for HBO Trash) 2. Generations with Kevin Swanson
