Men don’t want to marry women any more, but increasingly women are desiring marriage again. These are the latest trends. Women want to be independent and strong, but these words are slippery. What do they mean? What is strength? What is independence? Independent of what? We interact with Bambi Moore’s article on the Pilgrim Women who formed a rock foundation for this nation, and Suzanne Venker’s comment “Women aren’t women anymore.” This program includes: 1. The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi Steps Down, Bible Translators In More Danger of Persecution, American Atheists Encourages People to Skip Church) 2. Suicide rates among 10-14 years old kids have doubled in seven years (per the CDC). And, overall rates are on the increase. The highest suicide rates are found with Native Americans and middle-aged women. Whence come these increases? Although there are multiple reasons for suicide, the trends are rooted in ideas, messages, and modes (which bear their own messages). What is the Christian message most needed in a day of hopelessness, isolation, and emptiness? This program includes:1. Television ad campaigns are powerful instruments to condition society to acceptance of the latest abominations. The new movie Moonlight is conditioning young boys for homosexuality. 98% of critics on Rotten Tomatoes gives it a thumbs up, almost unprecedented for drama movies. We also provide counsel to families whose lesbian relatives want to come over for Christmas. This program includes:1. Borrowing from a CNN article, we go over the nine things Democrats are still thankful for after a brutal election season. We also refresh our memories on a classic poem from our early years -- Mighty Casey at the Bat. We're thankful that Psalm 37 has been realized in the end of the brutal dictators -- the final of which was Fidel Castro. This program includes:1. The National Park Service is leaning left, and is less and less friendly to Christian groups. The National Parks now have their own homosexual monument commemorating the Stonewall riots in the 1960s, and they are considering hundreds of other sites for similar memorials. Neutrality is impossible for any institution, and now our government has taken a definitive position against the God of the Bible. Kevin Swanson interviews Kevin Turley, Director of Landmark Events, on their experiences while visiting the National Parks and Monuments. This program includes: 1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (French Government Shuts Down Pro-Life Websites, Tom Price Nominated for Secretary of HHS, Canadian Pastor in North Korean Prison Camp) 2. The Catholic Pope is granting the priests the power to forgive abortion. What is the difference between fake Esau-like repentance and true and sincere confession and repentance? We also discuss the tensions that exist whenever we stand in front of abortion clinics. Are we there to disciple nations or individuals? Are we there to preach the law or the gospel? Are we there to save a soul or are we there to save a life? The abortion-clinic scenario reveals an imbalanced theology. This program includes: 1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Somalian Muslim Wounds 11 At Ohio State, UK Parliament Squashes Internet Privacy, Washington DC Contemplates Assisted Suicide Bill) 2. The new Alt-right represents various flavors, presented by Breitbart, the Neo-Nazi’s, and certain nationalist groups. When political priorities, movements, and emphases are set in people’s minds by something besides God’s law, the “left” and the “right” veer into the ditch. Will Christians go with them? Will Christians use God’s law, or will they be taken by the “left” or by the “right” or by the “alt-right”? We take a look at God’s law as relating to immigration, nationalism, racism, and crime. Could what appears to be “right” turn out to be more wrong than “left” at the end of the day? Here we identify the various corruptions that tend to make politics a very confusing business. This program includes: 1. The fastest growing churches are not found in the liberal, faithless, mainstream denominations. That’s a given, but there are some conservative churches that aren’t growing, and they’re slowly dying. But why? There is a cheap conservative brand that bears a good facade, but there’s no power and life in it. Sometimes it is pride, and a hammering on the non-essentials. It’s always an unbiblical balance and human autonomy. What we really need is a radical, rooted, thorough-going, preaching of the Law, the Gospel, Christ, Resurrection, the Atonement, Faith, Repentance — all of it. This program includes: 1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Obama Pushes Homosexuality in Thanksgiving Message, Trump Policy Shifting Around, More Migrants Leaving Central America for the U.S.) 2. We review the history of Thanksgiving from 1621, and the official Thanksgiving holidays in the 13 colonies. Then we take a look at the first national Thanksgiving proclamation issued by President George Washington. Finally, we counter the politically correct view of the Pilgrims and the Native Americans. Was it a blessing that Christianity broke into the pagan world of North America controlled by Satan? What impact did Jesus make on this continent? This program includes: 1. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Trump's Pro-Life and Pro-Homeschool Appointments, Syrian Refugees in Turkey Suffering Badly, Jesus Christ Acknowledged as King of Kings in Poland) 2.
