C.S. Lewis wrote of a hideous strength, a scientific, technological tyranny which would manipulate the masses. He wasn’t quite right. The tyranny turned out to produce snowflakes and cultural Marxists, undermining the family and enforcing the godhood of the individual on everybody. The numbers are in. . . The decrepit old nations more taken down by pornography than any other nation now are England, Canada, Australia, and the United States. The destruction this brings to the fiber of a nation and to the lives of young men is practically immeasurable. The two things that serve as some of the most active dry rot in nations are porn and socialism — nothing better at breaking down character and economy. Yet, there is mercy to be found. If there was a sense of desperation and need, then there would be mercy to be found in Jesus Christ — even for these western nations.

Evangelical colleges like Northwestern are kicking out pro-life speakers for “controversy” they might generate on campus — speakers that have already addressed secular audiences at UCLA, Harvard, and elsewhere. The cowardice of these evangelical colleges takes your breath away, but there are some heroes of the faith still around in our century. We end the program on a positive note - faith does exist with men like Phillip Zodiahates and Jack Phillips who keep standing and standing despite the blowback.

The United Kingdom’s new Relationships and Sex Education Statutory Guidance has just been released, requiring all school teachers to positively affirm LGBT relationships. If they don’t, they will probably lose their jobs. Parents Opt-outs are disappearing too. Homeschool programs in Colorado (tax paid) are also going to be required to incorporate LGBT and comprehensive sex ed training. God is testing American and British Christians. The pressure is only intensifying, until the real Christians stand up and say, “We will not participate in these abominations.” Do western Christians sail to heaven on flowery beds of ease, while the Chinese Christians sail through bloody seas? We don’t think so.

Congressperson Ocascio-Cortez is the most influential Democrat in the country at least by Twitter and Instagram Accounts. She has become somewhat of kick toy of the right. But, we want to take a closer look at worldviews. Examining an interview with South by Southwest, we note the growing intelligibility and the breakdown of language. The deconstruction of language is all part of the deconstruction of the old empires.

A Colorado high school male wrestler has forfeited what could have been the state-wide championship, when he refused to wrestle a female. The world pretends to be honoring women by obliterating the role differences and forcing them into competition with men. This introduces a very practical discussion on how we honor our wives, our daughters, and our sisters in the church.

Two recent studies discovered that it wasn’t youth groups, Sunday schools, vacation Bible school, etc. etc. It turned out that Ephesians 6:4 and Hebrews 3:13 got it right. It turns out that daily discipleship and regular Bible reading made the difference. How did the modern church miss this message?
