Rob Bell’s Universalism Gaining - Why Most Americans are Pharisees

October 25, 2018

The percentage of millennial evangelicals believing the Bible is NOT literally true is rising quickly from 44% in 2014 to 53% in 2018. Now, 51% of millennial evangelicals are pro-homosexual (up from 44% in 2014). But, 53% of evangelicals believe people are “basically good by nature.” The underlying assumption in the minds of most Americans is captured in the question, “Why would God throw a nice guy like me into hell?” That’s pretty much what the Pharisee thought. The Publican in the parable thought otherwise.

Males spend more money on shoes now than females. It's body worship for males. It's the homosexualized, self-objectifying, image-conscious, totally 'tarty' world of the spornosexual. . . and it is feeding the fitness industry big time. Even professing Christian males are more and more taken by this display of the body with a generous use of spandex, compression leggings, and other accouterments. They call the body 'their temple.' What does God say to this increasingly self-objectifying, homosexualized world?

Harvard University Students announce the first Satanic worship service. Will they include human sacrifice? Kevin Swanson reviews the history of Harvard College and the incredible apostasy represented by the universities across America. Also, Kevin and Steve discuss the X-rated materials assigned by Junior High and High School teachers in public schools across America.

The time has come. . . to get out of the gender blender, admit complete failure of our present socialmilieu and knock down the pillars of feminism once and for all. Here is an argument for robust, faith-filled, courageous biblical womanhood from two young women who live what they talk. Bethany Baird and Kristen Clark are sisters and they’ve written a book called “Girl Defined.” Why are models the most insecure people in the world, and how in the world did Marilyn Monroe become the dream girl for every other girl in America? This fast-paced, thoughtful, intense, upbeat, faith-filled interview with Bethany and Kristen will realign your perspectives to a better biblical balance.

A new study on women clergy in America has found that the prevalence of women clergy has gone exponential in the last 30 years. And. . . the more that churches liberalize and wander from the historic Christian faith, the higher the percentage is of women clergy in those churches. It’s a perfect correlation. Why does the increase in women’s involvement in the pastorate mean a more liberal and apostate ministry? Our hearts are crying out for a revival of faith, especially for men — where faith is languishing badly now. Where are the faith filled men today? Here is a cry for aliveness and a revisitation of the Holy Spirit of God into men, fathers, and husbands! Would you join in with this cry for revival?

The artificial insemination rage has created hundreds of thousands of orphans and an ethical nightmare for a brave new world. Some donors have sired hundreds of children who become orphans and often fatherless. Homosexuals and single women constitute 80% of the market and the rest are inseminated in married women. We grapple with the question of whether this would constitute adultery. Western countries have become the most dysfunctional when it comes to family life, but could there still be an entrance for the gospel?

Online pornography use has doubled over the last four years and quadrupled over the last eight years. We draw connections between contraception, pornography, and homosexuality, which is all a means of encouraging more sexuality without procreation. There's no reversing the opening of Pandora's Box now. The government isn't fixing this.

The old earth and young earth creation controversy usually reduces to a discussion on starlight and time. If the young earth creationists do not have an adequate answer for the question of starlight and time, will that undermine the young-earth apologetic? And what is an adequate answer? And what part of astronomy can be classified as the application of the observational and repeatable scientific method? All this and more in this fascinating interview with Answers in Genesis' astrophysicist, Dr. Jason Lisle.

The whole world seems to be burning up with perverted passions, debt, drug addiction, and increased rates of insanity. The changes are coming faster and faster. The world is thinking some kind of apocalypse is right around the corner. But, how should Christians think about this? Is God’s judgment on the nations imminent now? We compare some of the eschatological theories about the return of Christ and the coming of the final judgment on this edition of Generations.

Barna Research’s recent numbers find that only four percent of millennials now hold to a biblical worldview, and that’s roughly the percentage of those who were homeschooled. Another survey from Pew finds about half of evangelicals hold to new age beliefs. Could it be a result of 15 years of twenty minute self-help sermons? How does a church build in a rock solid rooting and grounding in a biblical worldview?

Can the drug problem be fixed by regulation or deregulation or education?  If it is a worldview problem, then how would you fix that?  Nations are finally giving up, and they are deregulating suicide and drug use.  America is ahead of the curve on this, with 9 states legalizing pot and some 31 states allowing medical use of it. We take a look at a biblical view of the legalization of drugs, and the use of strong drink.
