Spiritual warfare is not a metaphor. It is very real and very dangerous. It is not for the faint of heart, though in the rage of battle every warrior feels the temptation to faint from the fight. Soldiers have to be reminded to stand firm. They must remember that there is a cause and comrades that need defending and an enemy that must be defeated at all cost. We need courage to fight as culture warriors.

Being watchful and never letting our guard down is key to spiritual success in our walk with the Lord. When we talk about being watchful, I think of how God told Gideon to select his army for the battle to free Israel from the oppression of the Midianites. I assure you Gideon did not feel like a mighty warrior. There was no doubt that God had clearly had fought for Gideon and his army. That is the same God who is with us today.

We must be watchful and alert. Warfare always requires vigilant watchmen and women. A lack of watchfulness is dangerous to our souls — by that I don’t mean receiving a light jab from the enemy. I mean very real aggressive, cut-throat warfare. The admonishment to be strong and courageous would not be important or needed if the spiritual battle is a “piece of cake.” So, it is of utmost importance to pay attention to this warning.

The subject of the death penalty has long been a controversial one and people have strong feeling for or against. The death penalty, properly applied after the evidence proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, a person’s guilt of a capital crime, is a tool of justice. As we learn in Ecclesiastes 8:11, “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”

What would happen to a person who is so indebted that they will never be able to repay what they owe in their entire lifetime? Can people go on just borrowing money all their life without repaying what they owe and think that nothing negative will happen to them? Why is this irresponsible way of life not acceptable for a person but our government thinks it’s okay for our nation to operate this way?

When it comes to the precious gift of life, God will not hold us guiltless of the sin of abortion if we don’t fight with everything that we can against killing of the unborn. "Speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable" (Proverbs 31:8-10). Throughout the Scriptures in many ways, God commands us to defend innocent life. He will hole us responsible if we could have done something and we didn’t.

What is the role and purpose of government? Governments are supposed to restrain evil, not be the oppressors themselves. Human government is an assigned authority, therefore limited. Those in authority are described as “the servant[s] of God” (Rom. 13:4) and “ministers of God” (Rom. 13:6). Those who reject governmental authority reject God’s authority (Rom. 13:2). Let us take a closer look at how government can work for good.

America’s deadly cancer called abortion is not only killing the unborn but it is also helping to kill our nation. The contradiction is that Planned Parenthood, the most deadly organizations is in full operation with government approval and financial support from our tax-dollars even though it functions on the basis of lies to feed their greed. Our Declaration of Independence says we must always throw off the bondage of oppressive government whenever it presents itself. It's time to raise our voices as one on behalf of innocent life.

At the time of this recording, 61.5 million babies have been aborted in the U.S. since Roe v. Wade was decided by the Supreme Court in January of 1973. Since then, more than once we have elected a pro-life Republican majority in both houses and a Republican, pro-life president in the White House yet they have not reversed this ruling that continues to kill unborn babies in the mother’s womb. The deafening cry of the blood of these precious creations by God is crying out before his presence for justice.

The Bible often mentions how God sees generations. Spiritually and morally each generation since after WW II has had it worse and worse. The breakdown of the family also ushered in the breakdown in the church and the breakdown of society. Christian churches have increasingly traded the in-depth study of God’s Word for entertainment. We can set the tone of either punishment or blessing. Good seeds never die, let us not give up.

To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. Nena Arias

Is one of thirteen siblings; born, raised and educated in California. She was brought up in a Christian home, however her personal commitment to Christ happened at the age of seventeen which also included a simultaneous call to missionary work which she embraced with her whole heart. She answered this call and up until the present is actively involved in ministry alongside her husband, Ramon. Nena is an accomplished singer/minister and conference speaker. Her ministry for the last 40 years has taken her to several continents and nations such as, Mexico, Central and South America, Africa, Middle East, Europe, Canada and all across the continental United States and Hawaii.
