A Word from the Lord Messages with Archbishop Foley Beach

Judging the Quick and the Dead

Sunday Sermon Note: You can listen to Archbishop Beach’s Sunday Sermon, Consequences of Walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit, at our Website: www.AWordFromTheLord.org/listen/.

Message Summary: In Isaiah 2:4, Isaiah tells us that: “He {God} shall judge between the nations, and shall decide disputes for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”. From this passage, we learn that the Messiah would not only teach the law of God; but, also, He would come to judge. As expressed in 2 Timothy 4:1: “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living {quick} and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom . . . be ready in season and out of season . . .”.

Today’s Affirmation: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD’S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Scripture Reference (ESV): Isaiah 2:1-5; 2 Timothy 4:1-8; Matthew 12:36-37; 2 Thessalonians 1:5.
