When we ask the question, “What is God’s will for my life today?” we are usually referring to things like should I listen to secular radio or is it okay to go to the movies or should I send my kids to public school or private school. But while these issues are important to us, they don’t take first priority with God. Solomon tells us in Proverbs 6:16-19 that “there are six things the Lord hates, yes, seven that are an abomination to Him.” So if we want to know what God’s will is for our lives, we should start there.
