When God makes a statement it is His character that is on the line. Therefore we can be assured that the purpose of the promises of God are integral to the carrying out His will. We are free to act on what God has promised being confident that He who promised is faithful and what he says He is able to do. His promises in and of themselves tell us much that we need to know about God's character and nature and therefore the power that lies within His promises.
