How to be a Feminist for Life

September 10, 2008
Raisin' a Palin
Kevin Swanson lays out a vision for raising the next Sarah Palins to rule the country in the year 2035. Then, he interviews Scott Brown on a biblical vision for womanhood and the vision for a feminist America. Contrasts form as worldviews clash on this segment of Generations. In a country where the family has unravelled, fatherhood is MIA, where 70% of men do not achieve manhood by 30 years of age, where the debt-to-GNI ratios are through the ceiling, and the character of the nation is in freefall, will 100,000 Sarah Palins be able to salvage our institutions in the next 30 years? More fundamental solutions are suggested on this broadcast.

Interview: Judge Roy Moore What happens when a juror tries to appeal to the Bible in the jury room? The case is appealed, and more often than not, tossed out! But what happens if somebody quotes Gandhi, or Buddha, or even Nietzsche? Kevin Swanson interviews Judge Roy Moore on the recent Texas case adjudicated by the 5th circuit, where a juror referred to Numbers 35 during a capital murder trial. Judge Moore connects law and liberty, and insists that the retention of God and His Word as our ethical standard is essential if freedom will survive.

True Religion - The Real Stuff Real religion calls for visiting the orphan in his affliction, and that's not always pleasant or easy. Kevin Swanson recommends adoption as a wonderful means to exercise true faith, but it is important to count the cost and to know that others are there to support you along the way. Cindy Bigelow from Chosen International talks about special challenges that adoptive parents and children may face, and the kind of support available for them.

The Puritan View of Sex For Married Couples Only Per a study released last month by the Parents Television Council, prime-time broadcast audiences are three times more likely to hear about people performing deviant sex acts than they are to see a blissed-out married couple between the sheets. So rejecting the present cultural milieu, we went back into history and found the Puritan view of marital intimacy, and. . . Well, suffice it to say that it gets pretty hot from here on out. This program advocates a vibrant, exuberant view of marital love, and addresses the common hindrances to a healthy marital intimacy.

The Peter Pan Syndrome Forty years ago, 70% of men reached manhood by 30 years of age. Now, a bare 33% of men would meet the qualifications of maturity. They earn less than women, and their earnings have dropped 20% adjusted for inflation since 1970. Guys are losers, probably the the first downwardly mobile segment of the U.S. population in history. Addressing the fundamental issues that have shredded the social fabric and undermined the economic future of our nation, Kevin Swanson lays out a new vision, a radically different standard, that will surely reconstruct the future, at least for our sons within our own community.

The Palin Factor The Generations broadcast team is working themselves into a fervor over the Palin Vice Presidential nomination, sort of. What about the busted glass ceiling and the rise of women in governance? And is this the best conservatives could hope for? We're just not quite sure a feminist governor from Alaska with a year's experience in governance (not to mention her 17-year-old daughter pregnant out of wedlock doing her part to contribute to the further demise of the family), working for John McCain will do any more than GWB did to salvage the economy, halt the growth of government, repair the family, and quiet the Sodomites beating down our doors.

Keeping the Big Issues Front and Center We haven't heard of many Amish Christians lately who strap bomb packs on young women with Downs Syndrome and sending them into crowded marketplaces. Nor have we heard of too many Presbyterians burning down orphanages and tossing the workers into the burning pyres. But that's what Muslims and Hindis are busy doing around the world. By the way, humanists aren't much better. Persecution in India and China against Christians is heating up right now. Yet, Christians bravely take the Gospel of Love into the darkest corners of Islam and Hinduism around the globe, and subject themselves to some of the most dreadful persecution you can imagine. This is the heart of the battle against the kingdom of the devil, and he often reacts violently against these Christians. As Gabe Waddell reminds us to remember those in chains as a vital part of the Christian life, and recommends a regular routine for this for our homes and churches.

A Black Genocide and the Disintegration of the Black FamilyOf all of the tragedies of the last century, none has been more heart-breaking than that which happened to the African American population in this country. In this interview, Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson pulls no punches in his passion to salvage fatherhood and families among the black population. The euphoric support of Barrack Obama for president of the United States among the black population witnesses the same spirit that stripped away moral fiber and family integrity of many in the last several generations. The policies of men like Obama kill more babies in three days, than the Ku Klux Klan killed in its entire sordid history.Thank God, there are a courageous, mighty men of God like Rev. Peterson who are making a difference, reestablishing fatherhood and families, one family at a time - something a president could never do!

Higher Education Irrelevant Kevin Swanson interacts with a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed Piece from Charles Murray calling college a waste of time. Meanwhile, Dr. David Wiley, director of the Center for Open and Sustainable Learning at Utah State is afraid "Higher Education is in danger of becoming irrelevant." Kevin makes the point that unless parents and young people get creative and get out of the box, they will almost certainly wind up settling for some kind of sub-standard education. Then he tosses out a few ideas on some of the more productive things you might do with the $100,000 you've saved for your children's college education.

The Rising Tide of Atheism Atheism was behind the French Revolution, the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, the Mao Legacy, Pol Pot, Adolf Hitler, and all 52 political mass murderers of the previous century. So should we be concerned with the rising tide of atheists in the west? What if one of them recommends killing people for holding to certain ideas? Kevin Swanson refers to Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins in this program, pointing out the huge interest these "new" atheists have attracted among the university elite. He interviews Rob Slane, the author of a new book, "The God Reality," summarizing the tactics, the sophomoric argumentation, and the potential threat these men manifest – and touching on the proper Christian response as we seek to "contend for the faith."

Commemorative Program The Democrats Come to Town What are all these Democrats doing in our town? The Generations Radio broadcast team provides what could very well be the worst coverage of the Democratic National Convention straight from Colorado. Despite all efforts from Tony Campolo, Rev. Jim Wallis, and Bob Casey, the DNC cannot shake it's great amoral reputation in its enthusiastic support for things like slavery, abortion, and infanticide. Kevin Swanson reviews the sordid history of the party from 1848 onwards – spicing in a few interesting quote from Nathan Bedford Forrest and Margaret Sanger.
