References: 2+Timothy 3

As Paul sits in his prison cell, it is important to him to paint a faithful picture for Timothy of what lies ahead. It was and is of absolute importance that Christians not be ignorant of truth but be fully aware of what they can expect on their pilgrimage through this life.
This passage seems to comprise one of the most depressing views of the future in all os scripture. But within the context of both the entire chapter and the book as a whole it serves as a valuable piece of insight into God's perfect knowledge and the assurance He gives us as His children that He is still on His throne.
