It seems that over the past decade, the earth has been subjected to an increasing variety of calamities; be they weather related or man made. And, there seems to be a multitude of explanations for this from an equal number of "knowledgeable sources". The Storms of Life Part 1b
In the first portion of this series, we began a message that is directly tied to hurricane Katrina, and its impact in Louisiana and Mississippi. At the time, this event had multitudes asking the simple question, "Why?" On Hope For Today, Pastor Jim Shaddix continues his message "The Storms of Life – What the Bible Says About God, Weather, and Disaster", and reminds us of the one the Bibles calls "the ruler of this world... the god of this age... the one who has the whole world under his sway." Please stay with us as Jim speaks to the problem of Satan holding this world hostage, and the chaos of sin; but more importantly, the sovereignty and providence of God.

The events of 2005 in Louisiana and Mississippi, are proof to some that God doesn't exist. Their argument is that if God DOES exist, then things like hurricane Katrina wouldn’t happen. On Hope For Today, teaching pastor Jim Shaddix resumes his message "The Storms of Life – What the Bible Says About God, Weather, and Disaster". Earlier, Jim looked at the force behind the tragedies in the world today, and how God uses these events to influence the lives of both believers AND non-believers. In this installment, Jim continues in the book of Job to better explain God’s relationship to the weather.
