Where Worldview Wars Rage Strongest - Generations' Biggest Sale This Year

April 25, 2019

The most dangerous years in the lives of children raised in the church are the junior and high school years.  That’s when young people begin to doubt and to make plans to leave.  And, the most dangerous subjects in the junior high and high school years are history and literature.  That’s because worldviews play heaviest in these subjects. Math and grammar aren’t as important. Every parent should be very concerned over the type of liberal arts teachers bringing these subjects to their kids in charter schools, classical schools, or co-ops. The battle of ideas is most intense when it comes to liberal arts curriculum.  Liberal arts colleges, including those that call themselves Christian, are almost without exception the most liberal, opposing Scriptural view of ethics, reality, the nature of man, etc. at the most key points.  We offer curriculum at our lowest prices, and we’re throwing in free postage, until the end of Friday.  Generations curriculum is 50-80% lower than the typical prices you pay for other curriculum on the market.

So much of the quality of our relationship hinges on our communication. How do parents correct, rebuke, affirm, and just converse with their children? How do you communicate when things are a little frosty around the edges? You will appreciate this very powerful interview with Bill Smith, author of the new book “Parenting with Words of Grace.” This content only applies to our homes and our relationships every waking hour of the day!

Why do so many worship leaders look so “gay”?  That’s the subject matter of a recent blog. Is there a lack of repentance? Or is it a lack of God’s authority? Are we stuck with weak forms and a weak faith? The influence of romanticism leaves us with homosexuality, effeminacy, simplistic emotional highs, and no real substance of faith, worship, truth, and life. We take a look at a “Call to Repentance” composition from Keith Green during the height of the Jesus movement. There is a vast difference between singing how we feel and singing what we believe.

Americans have increased their abortfacient use by 35-40% in just eight years since Obamacare kicked in. Does this mean America is less pro life or more pro life? Are we killing more or less babies? We also take a look at the reticence to refer to abortion as murder. Would the mother be guilty of murdering her babies, or would you hold the abortionists liable?

A pastor of a Bible Presbyterian Church is booted after calling homosexuality a sin and inviting a little persecution. Are the goats outnumbering the sheep these days? Meanwhile, Australia’s #4 Rugby player is kicked out of the league for calling sinners to repentance. Here are several examples of courage in a homosexualized, compromised, wimpified, faithless age. Here are some refreshing stories, including rugby star, Israel Folau’s confession: “I love playing footy. . . But my faith in Jesus Christ is what comes first.”

Nortre-Dame Cathedral burns in a spectacular fire just a few days before the celebration of Easter. The symbolism is inescapable. The European faith began to die about the time the cathedral’s foundations were laid. We provide the history of the dissolution of the faith in France, beginning in the 1200s and coming to fruition at the St. Bartholomew’s Day’s massacre. We also discuss the confusion concerning government jurisdictions that seem to be prevalent in evangelicalism today.

Ohio has made some strides in the pro-life fight. Segments of the pro-life movement are making progress, and how is this happening? We interview Mark Harrington on the strategy that’s working. One of the most impactful things you can do for a young person raised in a Christian home is to put them on the front lines of the battle for life. We show you how to do it on this edition of Generations.

We revisit the Gen 2 survey on church trends with the homeschooled millennials. The Evangelicals, the Baptists, and the Pentecostals are losing homeschooled graduate kids, and the Catholics, the Orthodox, the Episcopalians and the Atheists are gaining some ground with these kids. What is the attraction to the “smells and bells?”

A film director of the leading children’s film in the world right now explains how he is normalizing dragons, inclusivism, and homosexuality, and that sort of thing. Do we normalize dragons? Do we train dragons or do we kill them? Psalm 144 calls us to fight the world and seek the covenant blessings of faithful children, polished cornerstones, and fruitful plants.

Is the final judgment coming? The statistics seem to bear it out. Since 1960, the world has come under severe judgment. According to many of the biblical descriptions of judgment, most of the world has fallen sharply into almost all of these conditions. We look at debt. . . birth implosions. . . females leading states. . . and homosexuality. Also, the state of the church in America is not much better. The top best selling Christian books ten years ago were written mostly by men. Now, they are ALL written by women evangelical leaders. We provide some guidance from 2 Peter 2 and Psalm as to the mindset Christians need at this critical hour.

The Christian colleges are quickly jettisoning creation and biblical sexual ethics as “essentials” to the faith. Can we abandon God’s law and creation just as long as we hold on to some weak conception of justification by faith alone. About 7% of Christian colleges are holding strong on creation. What happens to the faith when the epistemological authority of God and the ethical authority of God is removed?
