Jesus, John the Baptist, Peter, and Paul would call for repentance and warn of the judgment of God. But this doesn’t work for Hillsong’s Brian Houston. He says such public statements just scare people, and it doesn’t provide the love of “Jesus.” We try to understand why Brian Houston is not defending the persecuted Australian, Izzy Folau, who was just found guilty of blasphemy in the court of Sodom and Gomorrah (Rugby Australia). We ask the question of the wandering, slipping and sliding evangelicals—Whose side are you on? Also, we share a few lessons to learn from the courageous faith exhibited by the likes of Israel Folau.

Homo Luzonensis makes the headlines, as evolutionists delight in what COULD be their ancestors . . . all except for the fact that the critical bones for this missing link are still . . . well, missing. So, this adds to the eternal frustration of evolutionists who scrape and scrape the soil to find some possibility that God is a non-factor in a human evolution. We discuss the lack of evidence and the utter impossibility of human evolution. Then, we talk about a science that is really formed on a biblical worldview. It is not a science that is mainly focused on undermining evolution and mocking evolutionists.

It's the biggest movie of all time (at least for the modern age of film). Avengers Endgame have exploded box office records, hitting the $2 billion mark in just 11 days. The whole world’s love affair with fantasy films has reached a high pitched fever. We analyze the movie’s worldview, using real movie quotes and getting to the real source of power attributed to the “gods” or “superheroes.” Christians and non-Christians from around the world are imbibing more of the zeitgeist of sorcery, witchcraft, the fates, and the pagan gods battling it out for control over the infinity stones and “who gets to be omniscient and omnipotent for day.” Will the majority of kids raised in Christian home continued absorbing the wrong worldviews in the temples of Zeus (or Marvel)?

The accused in the San Diego synagogue shootings was a member of a reformed presbyterian church, and his father an elder in the congregation, according to reports. The question Christianity Today asks is, “Who is to blame?” We tackle the nature vs. nurture question again, but caution against weighing too heavily on the social/environmental causes. We take a look at the Bowe Bergdahl, Paul Hill, and John T. Earnest stories, and draw in Scriptural explanations and warn against the secular attacks on church teaching and the slippery, sweeping generalizations about “provocative” language.

A Pew Research study finds America three times more divided than in 2009. Americans are not happy, and they have lost a common cultural denominator. Is it President Obama’s fault, or is it President Trump’s fault? Or . . .is it God? Kevin Swanson runs through the generational divide, the gender divide, and the cultural/minority divide. . . and communicates the data on what could be the greatest political and national unraveling in our history. The answer to this milieu again. . . is to be found in the church.

How can those who have abandoned the Gospel’s power survive in the same denomination with those who still believe in it? The ignoring of the powerful work of God, the law of God, the horrific character of sin, the holiness of God, and the Gospel is taking its toll on the Methodist church. Sometimes, there are very dangerous people that show up in church and become the next series of Alexander the Coppersmiths. What does a church do in times like these? Preach hard, hold on to the Gospel tight, and obliterate humanist post-Christian literature and media from your home.

Two stories come into our newsroom simultaneously, rich in symbolism. 70% of millennials are relying on income from parents to uphold their lifestyles . . . and, the Social Security fund is bankrupt in just 16 years. But, where did the breakdown in character occur? Did the baby boomers give birth to the millennials, and how did it happen? However, the good news comes in when we realize the real root problem . . . because then, we find the solution.

Homeschooling parents in Cuba have been thrown in jail. Canadian parents are losing their 14-year-old children to the state transgender machine. Chinese churches and parents face prison for giving their children a Christian education. Now, the same battle is being waged in Colorado and Washington State. Yet, islands of freedom have developed. Will parents continue to defend these islands? The alternative is unthinkable - the destruction of our children at the hands of the state.

The conservative creationism movement has seen a bit of schism-ism of late with the flat earth theory gaining a little traction in the community. As conservative Christians seek to move further right, or east as it were, they find themselves holding to increasingly eccentric doctrines. Does this give the glory to God, or is there some other principle working? We interview Pat Roy and Kyle Justice, producers of a new film on the flat earth theory called "Faith on the Edge." We look at some of the biblical verses that seem to indicate a flat earth, and the scientific explanations on either side.
