KEVIN SWANSON CONDUCTS AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JONAS HIMMELSTRAND, now in exile from his homeland because of heightened persecutions at the hands of the socialist state. Jonas’s candid remarks on the degraded state of the family in Sweden are important for every other Western nation on the same track. Is the Christian church AWOL in Sweden? Why is there such strident persecution of the 40-50 homeschooling families in a nation of 10 million? Why must the destruction of the family be equally uniform across the nation?

Children are on the decline. Mentorships are on the decline in America. Anything that calls for human relationships is on the decline. But the pet business is booming! We live in what may be considered the lonliest age in all of human history. There are 9X the percentage of people living alone today as did in 1900. There are benefits to dogs (vs. kids). Now, Colorado is working to create a new Office of Early Childhood and Youth Development to monitor and regulate children in the womb, children in the home, children in pre-school, and children everywhere. The children belong to the state. That is the mantra repeated again and again from Sweden to Colorado, and all over the developed world (where the social planners rule). There are a few stalwarts still fighting the battle for family freedoms and Treon Goossen is one of them. Kevin Swanson discusses SB 130 on this edition of Generations.

Tragedies like the Costa Concordia unveil the true nature of the modern male, and the fruits of egalitarian worldviews. The Captain abandoned ship, and the Italian crew shoved the pregnant women out of the way as they clambered into the lifeboats. So much for women and children first! Even the secular press was appalled at the behavior of these men. This was not the case with the Titanic. In fact, three men from the steerage who tried to make the Titanic lifeboats in front of women and children were shot! Coincidentally, they all three were Italian. On the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, Kevin Swanson interviews Douglas Phillips on the loss of chivalry and the collapse of civility. Vision Forum and the Christian Boys' and Men's Titanic Society are making preparations for the International Centennial Event in Branson, Missouri scheduled for April 13th and 14th. 2012 (the date the Titanic went down, 100 years earlier).

Young women are marrying later and later in life on average. College doesn't provide the M.R.S. degree like it used to, but why not? Christians are affected at about the same rate as everybody else. Here, Candice Watters from Boundless Magazine explains the changing demographics, and gives practical advice on how women can "help it to happen!"

The electronic revolution has depersonalized relationships as intimate as the marriage relationship. An Italian Study found that a television in the bedroom, seriously decreases the intimacy in the marriage! Why are young men putting off marriage? They have left reality in the depersonalized world of electronic ones and zeros.

What may be said about the new ABC television program that mocks hypocritical, superficial Christianity? Nehemiah pulled his hair out (and that of others) over the weakness of the church in Jerusalem in his day. But Sanballat and Tobias were not helping either! The church is weak, but it doesn't help when a pro-fornication Hollywood mocks the church of Christ. Even while God was judging the Israelites for their disobedience, He was preparing Moab and Edom for their attacks on a weakened Israel. Kevin Swanson reports on the current demise of the Christian faith and the mocking of the pagans who stand on the sidelines.

The housing market in this country has fallen to its lowest level, lower than the recession levels of 2008. Unemployment levels in the E.U. are at the highest levels in its history. But these are the least of our concerns. There are four torpedoes heading towards the Titanic—and Kevin Swanson lists each of them on this edition of Generations. They are set to go off in the next 10-20 years, creating the greatest socio-economic shift to occur in recent history. So now what? How does a prudent man prepare?

Now, are the families in Uganda doing better economically than our nation? Kevin Swanson interviews Ian Hodge on a biblical view of money and debt.

Kevin Swanson analyzes the worldviews of humor and points out that Christians often veer out of control when they get in the spotlight (unless they are well grounded). When a comedian is ambivalent on whether the humor piece is attacking or endearing, he falls into the ditches of post-modern relativism and the surreal world of meta-narrative.
