Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] chats with Steve McConkey of 4 Winds Christian Athletics [www.BigPlanetWatch.com] about the outrageous decision on December 4, 2014 by 18 of the 20 members of the Minnesota State High School League board to allow transgender male-to-female students to participate on girls' athletic teams. Interestingly, they do not require that the student be in the midst of hormone "therapy" or have completed genitilia-mutilating surgeries, but simply "identify" as female. Three primary objections. 1. This violated God's divine design. 2. It is unfair to the female athletes because of the greater physical strength of a young man. And 3. It sends a message that society calls evil good. Just another reason why home education makes sense.

Here's a controversial question. Do 4 year old kids need their mothers, or should they deposit them in daycare in order to protect a double income household? When 65% of Americans now deposit their 1-6 year old children in daycare, the aggregate social results are devastating to a nation that once loved families and nurtured children in a home. Kevin speaks with Mary Eberstadt, author of Home-Alone America: The Hidden Toll of Day Care, Behavioral Drugs, and Other Parent Substitutes.

Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] chats with Dr. Gary Crossland, a Bible translator, Greek scholar and Israel tour leader, about his 363-page book “The Merged Gospels.” [www.MergedGospels.com] Unlike typical Gospel harmonies, which only compare blocks of texts between the Gospels, “The Merged Gospels” breaks all four Gospels down WORD-BY-WORD. It is the first book in history to literally translate the Gospels from the Greek language, merging all of them together into one flowing, chronological narrative, extracting only the duplicated content. Not one word of Scripture has been removed, and all major differences between the Gospels have been highlighted.  Look at a sample: http://mergedgospels.com/Merged_Gospels_Sample.pdf In addition, Dr. Crossland took 7 trips to Israel during which he literally retraced the steps of Jesus through all 94 geographic sites referred to in the Gospels -- a huge undertaking! Watch this 7-minute video which will give you a taste for the meticulous research and the time he invested into the project: http://mergedgospels.com/MG/BookPromoVideo.html You’ll see why I call him the Christian Indiana Jones. Available both as a book and as an audiobook (7 CD’s) with 183 different scores as musical beds at http://mergedgospels.com/MG/Book-And-Audio-Book2.html, you’ll learn about the 5 benefits to reading The Merged Gospels. Finally, they spend significant time exploring Dr. Crossland’s 30-minute documentary entitled “The Gospels: Fact or Fiction” in which he discusses 5 out of 10 reasons why you should never doubt that everything that appears in the Gospels is indeed historically accurate. http://mergedgospels.com/MG/FactOrFictionVideo.html Dr. Crossland earned his Master of Arts and Biblical Languages from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri and his doctorate at Masters International School of Divinity in Evansville, Indiana.

Monica O'Connor and her husband Eddie have not only homeschooled their 6 children, ranging in age from 28 down to 6, but they have also fostered 22 children over the last 10 years. Through their sacrificial foster care ministry, they came to the attention of the authorities who threatened to fine them $4,000 for not sending their children to government schools. When they refused to pay the fine, Monica was imprisoned in September, 2014 and her husband spent time in jail in late October. Watch this delightful 16-minute YouTube video called "Homegrown Knowledge" about their family featuring unvarnished conversations with their children and the parents against the heavenly backdrop of their lush, green rural Irish plot of land. And like their Facebook page [https://www.facebook.com/HomeEducationSupportFund] You'll be inspired to be more grateful to God for the right we have to home educate in America.

Steve Vaughan and Bill Jack expose the terrible navigational skills of Rev. Pat Robertson and BioLogos Foundation founder Francis Collins. Rejecting Genesis as true history leads to Planned Parenthood's lies in school and Evangelical parents of gay children lying in church.

Steve Vaughan and Bill Jack reveal the hidden racism behind Black Friday and White Christmas and then expose the Phariseeism of Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson, and President Barack Obama in light of the Thanksgiving miracle in Ferguson, MO.

After 18 years of Sunday School, Youth Groups, and even Christian school, many Christian children still graduate from high school thoroughly indoctrinated in a humanist worldview, and become big humanists in college. And they just walk away from the faith. In this interview Kevin Swanson conducted with World Magazine founder, Joel Belz, we look at several different problems with Christian education fifty years into this new movement. Joel is one of the most experienced voices on this issue of Christian education in the country. What makes Christian education so ineffective, and what can we do to bolster it?

Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] continues his conversation with Ray Rhodes, the author of "Family Worship for the Thanksgiving Season" [www.BooksThatNourish.com] about how he and his wife of 27 years maintained a grateful heart in the midst of five miscarriages. Contrary to the bad theology of the "Word of Faith" crowd, God allows suffering in our lives for a reason. Not only does Ray cite 2 Corinthians 1:1-11, but also a book by Deborah Howard entitled "Where is God in All of This?" as well as a favorite quote from Charles Spurgeon. If you are going through a trial right now, today's broadcast will be the perfect antidote. Plus, consider implementing the use of a "thankful" book this Thanksgiving, allowing for each family member to write -- or draw for the younger ones -- the reasons why you are thankful to God this year as a document which future generations will treasure for years to come.

Hunger Games - Mocking Jay is the third in the trilogy of Suzanne Collins' creation. Will Christians support the killing games or oppose them? Will they capitulate to situational ethics or oppose it? Will they support revolutionary solutions to society's problems or oppose them? Christian kids will recommend this new film to their friends on Facebook. But what should a Christian father think about such a film? Kevin Swanson reviews the first Hunger Games film with his daughter Emily, carefully examining the metaphysic, meta-ethic, gender roles, and ethical conundrums from the perspective of God’s Word.

Guest Host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] chats with Ray Rhodes, Jr. [http://nourishedintheword.org/about-nitw/] -- father of 6 daughters, pastor of Grace Community Church in Georgia, and founder of Nourished in the Word Ministries -- about his book "Family Worship for the Thanksgiving Season".   Each of the 31 days starts with a relevant Scripture reading, an historical glimpse -- often from the days of the Pilgrims -- and a theological thought. Dr. Paul Jehle, Pastor of the New Testament Church in Plymouth, Massachusetts, said, "Ray Rhodes has provided families with a roadmap to thankfulness that includes some unique treasures not found in similar works." It's not too late to get a copy of this compelling 130-page paperback for $11 at http://www.BooksThatNourish.com/. Check back on Thursday, November 20th for part 2 of their conversation.
