Christian Persecution in Syria - Open Doors Interview

September 10, 2013
Persecution is heating up in the Middle East, where Christians are caught between the old regimes and the rising fundamentalist Muslim crowd. As always, Christians usually catch the brunt of the revolutionary violence. Should a Christian stay and bear up under the persecution or leave? What can we do to assist our brothers and sisters who suffer in these areas of the world? Kevin Swanson interviews Jerry Dykstra from Open Doors ministry on the on-going persecution in Syria and Egypt.

Churches are powerless because they are man-centered instead of God centered, and they have lost sight of the biblical definitions of Gospel. Incredibly, the Christian Gospel has been reduced to such an LCD that it doesn't even include the Great Commission anymore. The rejection of the Law of God by the evangelical church has resulted in a reduction in the meaning of sin, atonement, Christ's offices, etc. It has also separated sanctification from salvation. Getting the Gospel right is pretty important these days.

Dramatic changes and sudden destruction is finally materializing among the most powerful cultural leaders. For the first time in the history of pop music, all top five songs on the popular music charts are self-consciously nihilist. Kevin Swanson points out that we've come a long way down the suicidal track from "You Light Up My Life" and "Billy Jean." Who will be salvaged in this mass cultural suicide? Who will be salvaged from the public schools that are pressing for a sex-ed program in Kindergarten? You have to "GET OFF THE TRAIN" if you don't want your children to go to hell.

We ask the simple question, "What's wrong with America?" and Dr. Alan Keyes takes his best shot at it. Things like the absence of the fear of God, compromising Republicans, godless elitists, and the rise of tyranny play into the conversation.

In the which Kevin Swanson speaks approvingly of making wedding cakes for happy weddings, but not for the miserable-ish gay weddings. There are several conditions in which a Christian may be able to provide a wedding cake for the Neronic weddings, and we elucidate here. Kevin Swanson also affirms the biblical position on slavery, homosexuality, and cannibalism - something the prime minister of Australia fails to do.

The Generations radio program is concerned with the treatment of babies and children (abortion, infanticide, and institutionalization), and the treatment of the elderly (institutionalization and euthanasia). This is a major Christian concern in the 21st century. How will we care for 80 million retiring baby boomers over the next 30 years, while the euthanasia culture rises and the social security fund implodes? Kevin Swanson interviews Todd Strawser on the subject of Relational, Family-Based Elderly Care, and they come up with a new ministry and an organizational meeting for the first time in United States history.

It's getting harder and harder to "shut up" the little boy in the Emperor's New Clothes proceedings. And evolutionists and the secularists aren't happy about it. Ray Comfort's Evolution vs. God video is going viral. Kevin Swanson also questions the McMillan's new dictionary definition for marriage on this episode of Generations.

Switzerland is considering ditching her national anthem - too many references to the old "dusty" Christian God from millennia past. Meantime, Australian governments are clamping down harder on homeschoolers in that country. The good news comes from Iowa, where homeschooling freedoms have expanded somewhat just this year!

There is a bit of a debate over whether graphic abortion pictures should be used in public places to decry abortion.  Kevin Swanson points out the story of the Levite in the Book of Judges who made an even more pointed statement to the nation of Israel during a time of national decline.  Then we take a look at the first country we know of where the Catholic bishops are holding the table on pro-abortion legislators.

Were the recent kilings in Spokane Washington and Oklahoma race motivated? The recent random youth killings shocked a nation, as everybody gets a peek into the depraved nature of man. How to solve the problem of the 72% of African American children born outside of wedlock? How do we fix the foundations of a social system that is crumbling fast? Kevin Swanson points to the godless public schools, the sexual revolution, the I-pod musical sewer, and the welfare redistribution of wealth schemes, as the primary corrupting influences in the inner cities. Oh yes, and one more thing - wimpy preachers.

Grandparents can be a powerful and important element in the perpetuity of the faith from one generation to the next. This has become increasingly critical during the great apostasy of the millennial generation. Here Kevin Swanson interviews Rich and Barb Heki on their new ministry effort, "Grandparents of Homeschoolers."
