Who Can You Trust? Part 1

November 20, 2013
The lack of trust in people is growing by leaps and bounds.  They just don't know in whom they can trust anymore.  But when people lose their trust you know we are in deep, deep trouble as a society. The book of Proverbs in the Bible instructs us in chapter 2 to make a conscious effort to acquire wisdom and to discipline ourselves to understanding the knowledge of God.  We must search for it like we would for silver and for hidden treasures.

In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 23 Jesus gave the nation of Israel an indictment.  He told the generation of Israelites that were listening to his teachings that they were going to be the generation that was going to witness the destruction of Israel.  How could this be?  Hadn't God invested thousands of years into forming that nation as a model to the world?  If Israel didn't escape the judgment of God when they persisted in their sin, what makes us think that America will?

Survival of the human race does not depend on man's perspective of the world. The desperate times we are living makes people look to the so-called "experts" of the trends to give us the solution to all the problems that are suffocating the life out of this present generations. Not even the conservative voices that are speaking loudly and consistently can be trusted to be offering viable solutions. When Jesus said that God's kingdom had come to earth, what did He mean?  Are the world conditions that we are seeing really what God's kingdom looks like?

God has the last word in all of history and things happen only by his dictates.  God revealed hundreds of years into the future to a pagan king named Nebuchadnezzar. In a dream God revealed the collapse of all human philosophies and the triumph of His wisdom in the time of Daniel. When the time came for God to reveal His Kingdom here on earth, Christ was born during the occupation and dominion of Israel by the Roman Empire, this was clear evidence of God’s rejection of His chosen people. He was now ready to form a new nation that would produce the fruits of His Kingdom.

How have nations and civilization of the past risen and fallen? What common factors are present in nations that die? From the Bible we learn that God is in control of the nations. We also see that when nations reach a certain level of sinfulness God's punishment is inevitably and when it comes the strength of those nations is no more.  Is the United States of America on the path to its demise?

Historically great nations rise and fall as do empires. Not many people take that part of history seriously, and yet it is happening before our very eyes without having to reference back into history or cross the oceans. History repeats only because of  man's inclination to do evil; that is the reason for the disastrous outcome.  This applies to everyone even "God's chosen people."

God, the Creator of heaven, the universe and the earth guarantees victory for us in the here and now, in time and history. There is no other way we can achieve victory other than on God’s terms of justice, this is the reason for Christ’ sacrifice at the cross, and His standards for living in all areas. If we do not appropriate them to our daily life we are wasting His victories.

Men have never been able to construct anything long lasting and worthwhile without God’s social order. Ask and look all around you and what do you hear? Pessimism: gloom and doom. Why? Without a living faith in Our Father and Creator, people lose faith in the future. American society’s core values are eroding, and American honor is crashing and burning. What are we to do?

When sin dominates a culture it is the result of people’s sinful actions. The pulpits of America would do well in learning from the teachings of the apostle’s letters to the early Christians. Nowadays, the Biblical teachings, for the most part, in many churches you cannot tell the difference from humanist teaching; there is a serious absence of the Biblical worldview.

God is very specific in letting His people know the reasons for national judgment. When He calls for national repentance it is not just for one individual but the whole nation to turn from its wicked ways. National sins must be punished, but as we know, it also comes with cultural restoration. With God there's always hope for a better future.

People are beginning to wake up and are realizing the disaster that is upon us. An attitude of indifference is no longer acceptable We can see the chains of slavery and hear their sound, liberty, as we have known it, is almost gone! Millions are beginning to ask, how in the world did we end up in this terrible condition? The answer is very simple, past generations neglected their accountability before God and men. This present generation will determine if it kills the original foundation or works hard to restore it!

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
