The Year 1517 Part 6

November 3, 2015
Is Christianity today any better than the Jewish people in Jesus’ time or are we manifesting the same critical problems that led to the Jewish nation’s destruction in the year 70 A.D.? There is no doubt we have taken a detour. What is waiting in our future?

Loving God and the Son is not done by words alone, we must manifest their works here on earth and they must match Jesus’ example. He is the One to imitate, this is what a true disciple or follower of Christ does at all cost. It is one thing to be born again in Christ, and quite another to be like Him; a true disciple is a reflection of Christ. Believers were reminded of this in the year 1517 by Martin Luther.

We are coming up on the 500-year mark since the Protestant Reformation of 1517 that impacted the world. Many of us agree that we are needing a move of God guided through His Word to take place to save us from our own man-made decadence. Nothing short of a biblical reformation will do to save this nation and the world.

God wants one people under Him; knowledge of the Godhead will give us understanding of His Word. So, are we to believe that Jesus promoted diversity in doctrines and unity in one faith at the same time? Diversity in Christian doctrine is what has created so many denominations. Diversity in faith does not come from God the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit or the Word of God. The source of that thought has a totally different origin. Remember, Genesis 3?

There are many dates in history that have impacted the human race both for good and not so good. The year 1517 is one of those years that impacted in a positive way through a frontal approach in Scripture. What most Christian churches and denominations have in common is partly included in of their statement of faith, which: all affirm to be committed to the Bible as the Word of God, they acknowledge the Bible as the infallible, inerrant, and sufficient Word of the Living God, and yet all the denominations don’t embrace the full counsel of God’s Word and have vast differences amongst themselves. Divisions and contradictions of doctrines are obvious and this does not represent the unity of belief.

Does God have favorites? God has never had favorites among those who violate his law and statutes. America has done much good in the world but she has fallen into much evil and God will not wink at her depravity. God will not be mocked by anyone. If the righteous leave their righteousness and do evil, they will die.

Without the Bible it is impossible to know God and what he has done for us. The Scriptures bring us face to face with the true God; an opportunity opens up for us to know God. It takes all the guesswork out, it becomes a well-defined path, it is the means to challenge us. The Scriptures liberate us from our ignorance, they show us how to think God’s thoughts; it directs us on how to effectively talk to God. It reveals God’s law, His love, grace, mercy and His justice. It imparts God’s authority to express His ideas accurately. The Scriptures tell us how we can effectively speak to others about God and how He is totally trustworthy.

Have you ever experienced being misunderstood because you were not able to communicate effectively, or you communicated what you thought was a clear thought or idea but somehow you were not understood? We all know the value of good communication, and so does God. God has always been communicating with us. He is very interested in that we know what He is saying to us; it is up to us to discern His voice through His Word, the Holy Scriptures.

It is important to know God because only then can we know who we are. In His earthly life, Jesus always knew who he was. He knew the answer to the questions: Who am I? What am I? Why am I here? What will happen to me when I die? It is of vital importance that we too find the answers to those questions to be complete. If we do not, identity is lost.

It is possible for someone to call themselves Christian and even be involved in some capacity of Christian ministry and still not know God. If every Christian does not pursue, as their primary goal, to know God the Father and Jesus Christ, everything else is hopeless.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
