The One Who Fears is Not Made Perfect in Love Part 2

December 5, 2018

The only person who must fear judgment is the one who rejects Jesus Christ. The Bible says that nothing can separate the believer from the love of God in Christ. The key to overcoming fear is total and complete trust in God. To trust God is to refuse to give in to fear. Even in the darkest times, we can trust in God to make things right. In this program, we will look at a few extraordinary examples in the Bible.

"For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). God uses power, love and a sound mind. A sound mind means we act on knowledge, his knowledge; we are well aware of what we believe and why we believe it. Just like God chooses to use love for everything he does, even his judgments are based in love because he is just.  Let’s study from God’s Word how we can set ourselves free from the crippling hold of fear.

We learn from Scripture that when the sins of the human race increase to unacceptable levels, which God decides, he takes drastic action against those he has created. In the case of the pre-flood generation, their sin had reached such intolerable levels that God said, enough! Behind every scientific discovery and technological advance we must never lose sight of what is moral and ethical.

As we close this topic for now we can see how whoever controls the language, controls the culture. It has become a war of words that represent ideologies. We cannot deny that right now the left is winning. The consequences are everywhere. However, this doesn't have to overtake us as we learn the power of words and how we can use them effectively with God's help.

Have you ever realized that your life today is the creation of all your thoughts and decisions in all your yesterdays? Positive or negative words are formed by thoughts, and thoughts are shaped by the motives of our heart. If you want to change you need to do the changing in your mind and in your heart. But not just through the power of positive thinking but through renewing you mind according to God’s Word.

The most amazing example we have about the power of words is when God spoke, and it was so. Words have the power to create. You can think yourself into a depression, stress, and misery and frustration. Ideas have consequences and produce after their own kind. The power to use words is a unique and powerful gift from God. But this does not mean we get to begin to believe that we can do whatever we want like gods.

Pain is a warning signal that something is damaged. It can be physical, emotional or spiritual. In the physical, pain is the body’s way of telling you something is wrong; however, you can have something very wrong and be asymptomatic. When you find yourself looking for an escape from your pain, you have to know the answer isn’t with anything that the world can offer. God will fix us by replacing old hurtful memories with new and deeper meaningful ones as we go about doing his will in our lives.

It is proven over and over again, that our greatest human brilliance will lead to our greatest disasters. So when trouble strikes, never be tempted to not seek God’s wisdom above yours even if you may feel like God is far away and there is no one around who understands. You may ask yourself what’s the purpose of all this? What possible good could come out of all this pain? Can there possibly be any purpose in evil or suffering? God says yes.

We humans were never created to live life alone, even before the fall into sin, least of all after sin entered into the picture. It is ignorance and pride that makes people think they have to be able to live life on their own and that only the weak admit they need help. Life is impossible to live on our own because we don’t know everything. All who attempt it ultimately fail. It is never cowardly to admit that we need God to live because he is the essence of life.

The annual tradition of our national Thanksgiving Day celebration is a very special time but not for the obvious reasons of enjoying a lavish banquet with all the trimmings to be enjoyed with family and friends. By virtue of being created in the image and likeness of God, all humans are spiritual beings and long to have a relationship with God. Acknowledging where all the good gifts come from is innate in humans.

In our previous program we left off referencing the incident of the Tower of Babel and how that caused a major shift in world history especially due to the confusing of the languages and how the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth. Why is this important? This is important because true history is only accurately understood from God’s perspective.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
