The Meaning of Jesus' Resurrection in Our Lives and Culture Part 9

April 27, 2017

We must take history seriously. We have to work hard to know truth from falsehood because we are at war and we are all part of it, no one escapes. We are to constantly remind ourselves what we have become in Christ and the role we have in changing the culture and the administration of planet earth. In Christ, we are unique as He was.

How about this world we are living in? But, this is where we live and it is not enough to acknowledge the mess we are in, we must look to make a difference. We must ask, what ideas are out there that offer solutions? We know that failed ideas cause catastrophes. So, the fact that Jesus conquered sin, the cross and death when He resurrected, we have great reason to not be demoralized because He offers the only true hope and the answers to fix our culture.

Christ triumphantly came out of the tomb as the Conqueror and Sovereign King and having all authority in heaven and earth He commissioned the disciples to proclaim His truth and to teach all nations. Keep in mind that nations are about people, which create culture.

Jesus conquered Satan by His death, burial and resurrection, but it seemed that no one understood the magnitude of what was happening in the destruction and conquest of sin. But Colossians clearly states what happened: "He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. Colossians 2:15 (ESV)

When we fully understand Jesus’ accomplishment of destroying sin, once and for all at the cross, it sheds light of the awesomeness of the human liberation. Human bondage and freedom begin internally, and it is there that transformation or deformation unfolds; each one of us is responsible for deciding if we accept or reject the finished work of Christ. The more God’s people walk in the fullness of the new life in Christ the greater hope for the culture to transform for the good.

God establishes the parameters for right living; to cross those parameters before the eyes of God is known as sin. Sin is the foundation of all the mess we have here on earth. God gave the perfect morals to guide ourselves by yet humans refuse to observe them to their fullest. Idols are not just images; anything can be made into an idol. The fight is between light and darkness and it is up to us to agree with God so we can have life according to our original design and be truly happy.

The resurrected Savior gave the Commission to all the disciples then and for all His followers throughout history. On the cross, he said three words that sums up his Commission from the Father: “It is finished.” Jesus came from heaven with an explicit task to fulfill, exactly as he told the disciples and as He expects us to do.

It is important to remember how fast Christians tend to forget a great historical “Easter” week as the holiday concludes by going back with life as “usual.” The truth is, our life in Christ shouldn’t be usual in the traditional way, rather it should be super exceptional until we die.

Atheists, humanists and like-minded people hate two calendar dates; they are the birth of Jesus and Easter Week because they are a reminder of His crucifixion and Resurrection. At the same time, those two dates are also a challenge to Christians. From the very beginning, they have battled with both historical events that far from being the foundation of a religious system are the foundation to liberate and restore humanity from the insanity of lies to sanity by understanding the TRUTH of Christ when He entered into human history.

Jesus’ worldview is the same as God the Father. Ours should not be different. Let us always keep in mind that at the beginning of His public life Jesus proclaimed the arrival of the Kingdom of God and all the way to his crucifixion he manifested God's Kingdom in practical life. After his resurrection for the next forty days He continued teaching about the Kingdom of God. The power of His resurrection in our lives is to manifest solutions to all areas of God's worldview.

A worldview can be true, half true or a total lie. The ideas that dominate our inner world, is the real us. The origin of a worldview is spiritual not just the product of our mind. The God of the Bible is truth. He is consistent with His revealed truth verified through the facts of reality. His facts are the integration of character, virtue and consistency and He has made all of that available to His born-again believers.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
