Once again today we find ourselves in the fourteenth chapter of Second Kings, and the reign of King Amazia. If you like action movies or books with a lot of action, then Second Kings is just right for you!

Today we move on to Second Kings chapter fourteen, and the reign of King Amazia. Just like most of the early Kings of Israel, Amazia had his ups and downs.
Today Bryan will bring us the conclusion of a message he began last time, based on Second Kings chapter thirteen.
Today we'll move along in our study of Second Kings with a stop in chapter thirteen. This marks the halfway point in our study of this amazing Old Testament account of the kings of early Israel.
An athlete has to trust his or her skills in order to be successful. In order for a Christian to be successful, he or she must trust in God, and reject the things of this world. It's one or the other...and there's no in between. That's the lesson we see over and over again as we study Second Kings.
As we examine the reigns of the early kings of Israel, we'll meet a king named Joash.
If you're a history buff, then this book is right up your alley! It's a history of the trials, tribulations and battles fought by the early kings of Israel. King Jehu is in power as we continue in chapter ten.
Second Kings is all about . . . Kings. But the point is, the people of Israel wanted to be ruled by Kings for some reason, and repeatedly turned their back on God and His wisdom. You can imagine the results of such foolishness, because we wee it all around us today.

One of the most unfortunate and dangerous things going on in the Christian church today is people who have decided that we need to go back and rethink whether God's Word is one hundred percent reliable. Can you imagine the nerve? Suddenly we're smarter than God? Pastor Bryan Newberry has some choice words to share today as we wrap up our study of Second Kings chapter nine.
Today we'll return to Second Kings chapter eight as we see the results of misplaced trust. It's not a pretty picture! It's a wonderful reminder, though, about the blessings to be found when we trust God!
Today's message from Second Kings chapter 8 deals with some really good news, and some really depressing news. A woman who trusted God and His promises has her faith rewarded, and a man who was nothing more than an errand boy is suddenly thrust into a leadership position, and receives some ominous news about his future.
Today on Words of Encouragement, we'll God use some seemingly useless things to accomplish some mighty things. Do you feel inadequate sometimes? You think maybe God can't use someone like you? Think again!

We're going to talk on the subject of faith again today, and specifically ways we can make our faith come alive in our lives. An active faith is a sure sign of a mature Christian, but an active faith is accompanied by works.
Today's message is another in Bryan's series titled in Second Kings. Today we'll learn to exercise our faith with a message in Second Kings chapter six!
There are many misconceptions concerning how God works, and it doesn't help matters when we see people using ministry for personal gain, rather than to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Naaman eventually found this out, just as we always do!
The book of Second Kings is filled with exciting tales of bravery, and most of all, good lessons for you and me on the importance of trusting God. Naaman's journey of discovery is a very good one.
Today we'll again open our Bibles to Second Kings, chapter four. There are phonies in the Christian world, just as there are phonies in every other walk of life. The problem with phony faith is that it hurts the phony, but it also can have a detrimental effect on the cause of Christ.
Several years ago, a man in New York lived a lavish lifestyle for a few months by convincing people he was the son of a famous celebrity. Eventually he was exposed as a phony, and went to jail. There are many people today who claim to be Christians, but will eventually be exposed as phonies too.
We're currently enjoying a series of topical studies in Second Kings. Today we'll be in chapter four. It's amazing how the events in this book, which happened thousand of years ago, relate so well to today's world. For instance, we're currently looking at an amazing scene in which God brings a dead child back to life, through the hands of Elisha.
