In the First Epistle of John, chapter 4, verse 8, are found perhaps the three most profound words in the Bible, “God is love.” Yet, in their search for love, many people today are seeking love from virtually everything and everyone only to end up in loneliness and despair. Tragically, they are missing what 17th century French mathematician Blaise Pascal realized long ago, “There is a God-shaped vacuum” in each of us that can only be filled by God.
