The odds seemed to be against David as he stood to face Goliath. He was untrained in battle—Goliath was an experienced warrior. He was naked of armor—Goliath was clad to the hilt. He was small—Goliath was, well, gigantic. But David knew how deceptive appearances can be. He looked past Goliath’s towering frame, shining armor, and medals of valor, and saw what Goliath was missing: God.
