Last week, we learned that God's logos is the full expression of His rational thought. He communicates by speaking and writing, through prophets, through creation, and through His Son. As we will find out in coming weeks, everything is summed up in God's Son, Jesus, as He is the full expression of God's logos.

God's credibility is directly related to the credibility of his communication. If God lies, or says, "I forgot," or "I didn't mean that," then His very being and character are questioned. Therefore, when God speaks, writes, creates, or acts, everything is consistent because God cannot lie, contradict Himself, be tempted by sin, or violate His own character.

Because we are made in the image of God, we should be consistent with our communication just as God is. This is one way that we, as Christ-followers, are to be different from others.
