Ministry in the newly formed Church with these new believers centered around the teaching done by the apostles, their fellowship together, and prayer. The apostle's teaching became what is the New Testament canon of the Scriptures of God. The bond between these new believers was produced by the Spirit of God commonly indwelling them, and by their commonly held faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The entire ministry of this body of believers became a fellowship in the work of God. They also joined together in the breaking of bread and for prayer. Their unity was also demonstrated by their care for one another in providing material goods as needs arose. As the apostles proclaimed this new truth being revealed by God they were doing various signs and miracles. The signs and miracles validated the message and authority of the apostles, and served to unite the Church around their message.
