Does a man's religion effect his politics? In relation to Mitt Romney's Mormonism, Chris Matthews asked this question recently on his CNN talk program. Kevin Swanson examines the Mormon worldview and contrasts it with the Christian metaphysic. But is Mitt's mormonism anything to worry about, when in truth the man picked up his religion/worldview in the schools and universities?

In a recent article, ex education czar, Bill Bennett refers to the death of manhood. Never in history have we seen men so unmotivated and unproductive. But what's the solution? The Book of Virtues or the Book of Wisdom? More Greek Classical thinking or the restoration of Fatherhood and Family Economies? The most helpful motion picture ever produced on fatherhood is in the theaters now. "Courageous" is a movie that speaks to the greatest social need of the day. We interview Kevin Downes, who acted in the movie, on his role in the character and as a real father to his adopted children.

Are our homes more about rules or relationships? Do we speak law or breathe grace to our children? Kevin Swanson interview biblical counselor, homeschooling grandmother, and Christian author, Elyse Fitzpatrick on how to strike the proper balance in the home. How do we “get” our children to obey out of love for God and for their parents? How can we avoid externalistic obedience, while at the same time cultivate a love for Christ and His commandments?

A school district in Tennessee calls a group of high school coaches on the carpet for bowing at the end of a football game. Were they praying? They could have been! And this violated school policy! Worse than that, it offended the ACLU! But if education is "neutral," then why bring this biased perspective of religion and God and stuff into these "neutral" schools? We pose this question to film producer, Colin Gunn on this edition of Generations. Mr. Gunn has just completed a major documentary project called "Indoctrination."

No single person has made more of an impact on the world than Jesus Christ. This would have been hard to say in AD85. But there is no question of it today. Jesus has affected our calendar, our language, our idioms, social mores, the treatment of women, charity, hospitals, economics, science, liberty, music, art, and the abolishment of chattel slavery. Kevin Swanson interviews Dr. Alvin Schmidt, the author of an eye-opening, landmark treatment of 2000 years of world history. Get your children listening to this one!

A thousand years from now, people will look back at this day in disbelief. It was the day that the Christian church reached the lowest possible depths of degradation. It is the day that the Presbyterian Church USA ordains a homosexual. What would the Christ of Revelation 2 and 3 think of this? Kevin Swanson addresses the two problems with the Christian church and the American people. We have lost truth and love in a lost and lonely world. Half the church is apostatizing (watering down truth and ethics to the lowest common denominator), and the other half can't love each other if it killed them.

Relevant Magazine reports on several studies looking at evangelical youth and fornication. They find that about 80% of young evangelicals fall into fornication against 88% for the broader population. Kevin Swanson provides counsel for young people who want to stay away from fornication. The program also addresses the ethical problems with sperm donations, as well as the Hillary Clinton-style safe sex programs in Africa.

Homeschoolers took 1st place in the Box Office last weekend, and Christians took 4th place! Christian themed movies are taking the box office by storm and have since roughly 2005. Is this a comeback for pro-family, pro-Christian, pro-homeschooling culture? Kevin Swanson interacts with homeschool father Carl Bobb on fiction, allegory, and story telling for the purpose of family edification. Is entertainment value legitimate? Where do our children get "lost in the metaphor?"

1950 - Dating 1970 - Shacking up 2010 - Hooking up Dating is passe today. It's so. . . so retro! Today, it is sex without relationship. Today, we do church without relationships. We do education without relationships. We do family without relationships. Why not sex without relationships? The world is lost, and lonely, and love-less. The world is killing human relationships, and creating hollowed out, self-oriented, narcissistic automatons. But we're actually recommending the abandonment of the unaccountable, dating system. We're going the opposite direction, entirely! We're talking about restoring family relationships - father-daughter relationships. While the world is coming apart at the seams, we're laying footers down six feet deep in our families, foundations that will hold for GENERATIONS! Included in this program is the question of marrying unbelievers, or fornicators, or ex-prostitutes.

For 5800 years of world history, fathers mentored their sons to take on their family businesses. But how would a son peel off a portion of his father's business and build his own family economy? These questions require a great deal of wisdom for fathers, especially in today's economy. Kevin Swanson interviews Wendell Sip on his successful family farm in Minnesota. What sort of character does it take to build a family farm from the bottom up? Wendell did it himself, and now he's working with his sons to repeat the process.
