Is Nancy Pelosi a Christian?

Are Christians Different from Pagans?
Very little distinguishes Christians from pagans in the present day, but that's because Christians hardly know their own faith.
Kevin Swanson traces the perspective on abortion upheld for hundreds of years amongst the church fathers, and points out that Christians have always considered abortion a sin. Those Christians not affected by Greek thought would insist that abortion is homicide. If there was one thing that would characterize a Christian in the ortho-praxic sense, it would have been a respect for human life.
Perhaps it's time for those who think of themselves as Christians to reconsider what it is to have a relationship with God. For one thing, you don't run around killing His kids.

A Tyranny Update The Roman powers did not have satellites tracking every move you made. They didn't have cameras on street corners, and they didn't have computer databases with thousands of data records on your life, your friends, and your affiliations. And they didn't consume 60% of the Gross National Income. It was more like 6%. But why do we prefer tyranny as a people? They would rather open their lives up to complete strangers, than be morally and spiritually accountable to people who actually love them! Kevin Swanson boils it down to a question of tyranny or accountable relationships. Either you will be governed by God's social order or Marx and Plato's, and you will subject yourself to a miserable tyranny. We actually prefer relational living - shepherd centers, family discipleship, and long term accountable relationships.

How Do Your Children Look at History? History is dangerous. History is complex. History is messy. But for Christians it is anything but sound and fury, signifying nothing! History is really and truly, "His Story," as God is sovereign, yet holds men responsible for how they conduct themselves in the battle that rages between good and evil. Dr. Phil Kayser, pastor and historian, joins us to discuss an exciting view of providential history and how we fit into it. Focusing on Reformation History, Pope Clement, Henry VIII, and Anne Bolyn, Phil shows how God’s hand works and accomplishes His purposes even through some of the most desperate and evil of times. You will be greatly encouraged by this interview!

. . . Before it destroys us? In one of the most important programs we have released to date, Kevin Swanson contrasts a humanist view of science with a biblical view. Scientism is what drives the humanist academy, society, and state; and it is fundamentally flawed. In this discussion, Kevin presents seven reasons why scientists should humble themselves before God NOW before they destroy themselves and their societies. This program is especially important for engineers, scientists, and parents who are teaching their children science.

Do Most People Go to Hell? Kevin Swanson grapples with why the Christian faith he grew up with in the 1970s was so squishy, and why so many of those "Christian" kids wound up divorced, and then their kids. . . Well, we don't even want to talk about them. So what makes a robust faith that will sustain the generations? In the middle of a tidal wave of apostasy sweeping over the western world, it’s about time to reexamine our basic worldview commitments. Do you really have a God-centered epistemology, metaphysics, and ethics, and is that what you are conveying to your children? Or is it warmed-over, watered-down humanism? Kevin recommends three things for putting a little rebar in the faith - a solid, solid doctrinal foundation, an intensely relational, family discipleship, and solid, serious preaching from the Word.

Do your children know the Bible Inside and Out? If God created the world, if God communicates to man concerning what He thinks we should know, and if God is smart, then should we include His communication in our children's curriculum? What if He insists that we teach His Word to our children? Would that strengthen the case for you? Kevin Swanson makes the case for the Word of God as the Core Curriculum in our children's education, and he interviews Allen Wolfe, author of the 1200 page "Balancing the Sword" workbook.

The Battle of the Century The sociological story relating to the last two hundred years of western civilization tells of the trade-off of power from family to state. The power of the state expanded at the expense of the dissolution of the family. Of course, now we will see what happens to societies when the family ceases to exist as a viable entity. But there are a few stalwarts today fighting back for the survival of the family and family freedoms, and they seem to be most prevalent within the homeschooling movement. A recent report issued to the Secretary of State of England threatens to erode family freedoms even further, suggesting mandatory home visits where parents choose to stay home with their children. Kevin Swanson interviews homeschooling father and director of Family Education Trust in England on these draconian measures.

Surrendering the Principle With governments now prosecuting parents for giving their children an improper diet and not availing themselves to the recommended health care regimen proffered by the AMA, a few parents are wondering how they lost their freedoms. If governments have a controlling interest in the education of children, what would possibly prevent them from taking control of the health care and diet of the children? This leads to a discussion on what it is to be a conservative. Can you surrender the principle of a matter, and still retain freedom? What would it be like to be a "conservative" abortionist? A "conservative" homosexual? A conservative communist?

Powerful Ideas that Kill With the culture in the death throes of nihilism and the family and faith waning in the western world, blame has yet to be assigned. Ideas have consequences, and Europe and America are suffering the consequences. But who are the Idea Men that systematically dismantled the faith and culture of the west? Kevin Swanson makes a list of the five most influential men of the last 200 years in this broadcast. From historical patterns, he demonstrates how the breakdown of social and political institutions follow closely upon the breakdown of philosophical systems to a godless and purposeless nihilism. But not all is lost! While Christian thought was heavily synthesized throughout the 19th century, by the 1950s and 1960s Christian thinkers returned to the war of the worldviews. Competent apologists who were willing to engage the antithesis at the most fundamental levels, rejected all calls for détente. The villains and the heroes are catalogued in this program.

Interview: Jack Eggar As the Christian faith degrades in North America and Europe, and as an increasingly toxic culture forms around us, how do we prepare our children to meet the world? Jack Eggar, president/CEO of Awana joins Kevin Swanson on a strategy for raising a modern day Joseph.

The Road to Hell The road to hell is paved with good intentions and the best example of this maxim you will ever find is the government-instituted foster care system. Abandoning God's law as the standard by which we lay out family and state jurisdictions is the real root of the chaos in this government-sponsored monstrosity. Should Christian parents adopt a child unjustly and forcibly removed from a home? Kevin Swanson wades in on a sticky one in this edition of the Generations broadcast.
