The suspect in the Norwegian massacre in Oslo claims to be a "Christian," but what does this mean? How does this form of revolution differ from that of a Stalin or Mao, for example? Important to the discussion is a crucial article on the man's relationship with his own father (reported by the New York Times). Kevin Swanson points out the source of these dangerous revolutionaries (as referred to in Proverbs 30). Here is a very important discussion that will help you understand the actions of violent revolutionaries whether they be Marxist, anarchical, or Muslim.

A Business Insider story explains why Mormons so often excelled in business and politics. But what are evangelical Christians doing with THEIR young men? Is college enough? Will they mature spiritually, relationally, and economically, without significant work in mentorship, discipleship, and character development? Kevin Swanson presents a vision for mentoring young men, and interview Carl Bobb in his work with young men in Colorado. Also, we include a terrific interview with Ron Ochs, a business owner in Klamath Falls, Oregon, who has 9 years of experience in mentorship.

There is hardly a more dramatic and more dangerous story to be found in the history of the church as the life of John Knox. Author Douglas Bond has made it his task to chronicle the stories of the great and courageous men who opposed tyranny against tremendous odds during the reformation period. His latest book tells the story of John Knox, the lightning rod of the Scottish reformation. In the midst of unbelievable tyranny, evil machinations, and social chaos, this preacher took on the Scottish nation with a no-holds-barred message of truth. This thrilling interview with Douglas Bond will inspire and encourage, as we face a future that may be filled with like dangers. . . and possibilities!

Kevin Swanson addresses Tim Challies’ posting on the recent documentary, “Divided.” Is this really a “destructive message wrapped in a poorly-made documentary?” Do the traditions of men EVER displaced God’s laws in the mind of any Christian in America or Canada? Kevin also explains the problem of “aggregate applications,” in ethical and socio-economic discussions (such as that which Jesus engaged in Matthew 15).

Kevin Swanson revisits the problem of government tyranny, this time on home economies. A family is fined $90,000 for raising 200 rabbits in Missouri. Another woman faces 93 days in jail for cultivating a garden in her yard. Should Christians participate in bureaucracies like the FDA or the BATF, that would fine or imprison the innocent citizenry when they have done nothing to harm the person or property of someone else? Kevin points out that controls of families and family economies could be worse here than in communist Vietnam!

When a man embraces the homosexual lifestyle, the teeth of the bear trap settle deep into the skin of the homosexual. A few make it out. If the blood of Christ is sufficient to cut through anything, it can cut through the power and guilt of captivating and corrosive sins like homosexuality. Brian is married to Pam, and God has blessed them with two sweet children. But in the 1990s, Brian lived the lifestyle of a promiscuous homosexual. Now as a brand plucked from the fire, Brian tells his story of deliverance. He describes the loneliness, the emptiness, the destructiveness, and the guilt constituting the homosexual lifestyle. He talks about the life of repentance in vivid detail. Pam also joins us for the interview, painting the picture of what God has done in restoration, forgiveness, and blessing. In a day, where preachers shrink away from using the R-word ("Repentance"), there are still a few out there who hold that such a change of life is possible, by the power of God. Note: This interview may not be appropriate for young children.

When would you introduce the great books that counter a biblical worldview - or a biblical categorization of reality, truth, and ethics? How might you prepare your children for the great battle of ideas? This is a controversial question even among Christians who are passionate about the eduation of their children. Kevin Swanson interviews Jeff Baldwin from Worldview Academy on this very question. Jeff is the mastermind behind Worldview Academy's Great Books program.
