When the King of kings arrived on earth to establish His eternal kingdom He preached a sermon to describe how the citizens of that kingdom are to live. That sermon has become the most famous and most studied sermon ever preached. Jesus introduction is a section that has become known as “The Beatitudes,” and it is all about blessedness. Jesus draws clear lines to show us who is included in this kingdom and who is not, and offers several great and precious promises to those who are. These promises are of utmost importance in living the Christian life because they are designed by the Lord to provide us with the motivation necessary to live out the rest of the sermon.Series: The Beatitudes
