God's Principles Never Change Part 8

October 10, 2012
The attacks on godly principles in our country are coming hard and heavy on all sides.  There are those who have been working feverishly to take the nation if a totally different direction than the foundation that was laid by the founders.  The founders were folks who knew that only the principles of good government from God's perspective would work in the long run.  Without Christ's word and work it is impossible to break the chains of tyranny which man tends to gravitate to time after time.  Christ is still the only source of true freedom.

God could bless America in its past because of men like the one who owns this quote: "The foundation of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality;...the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained..." - George Washington, First Inaugural, April 30, 1789

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is three fold; its patriotism, its morality and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three ideas, America will collapse from within." - Mass murderer, Joseph Stalin. It is sad that the sons of darkness are more diligent and persistent to reach their goals than many Christians especially because God's principles are tried and true for victory.

We are seeing the rapid decline of our civilization. Barack Obama said he was going to fundamentally transform America and that is what we have been witnessing since he took office.  That part of his campaign promises is faithfully being fulfilled.  His contribution to the destruction of the family, church and morality is on a fast track. Make no mistake, God will not be mocked, what a man sows he will also reap.

God has set the whole structure of all of the universe according to His plan, wisdom and purpose of each aspect He has created.  But since the beginning of the fall of man, men have always wanted to challenge Him. There is in the hearts of men the compulsion to extend their control over others. The quest for power is an ancient one. In this quest for power many will stop at nothing to acquire it regardless of the casualties it causes. But God always has the last word.

Why do humans think that they can outdo God?  Even history clearly manifests that man's cleverest principles fail every time and land the human race in misery using the same failed concepts over and over again. One of those concepts is socialism.  This is what Winston Churchill had to day about that "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery..."

God never makes mistakes.  The principles He has established are set and do not change for anyone.  The original design of the United States of America clearly was founded, for the most part, on these principles.  America has paid a huge price for straying from it's foundation with the War Between the States and is about to pay a bigger price for all the evils they have allowed to dominate her.

What is a principle? What comes to your mind when you hear the word "principle"? Are principles supposed to change with time? Do God's principles apply to generation after generation?  These are questions that require answers. Join us as we explore these answers from God's perspective.

In 1 Timothy. 2:1-4, Paul urges Christians to make supplications, prayers and intercession for kings and all who are in high positions. He never said, “if they are Christians pray for them.” Regardless of the ruler’s philosophical or religious tendencies we must pray for them. They are the ones who can apply laws that produce peace and social stability giving Christians the opportunity to engage in reforming culture with the biblical worldview demonstrating why God and his morals are relevant for the well-being of man and society.

The least confused about political choices should be the Christians and yet for most part the opposite is taking place. So what should Christians do when no candidate meets God's requirements for office? Should they shrug their shoulders and walk away from their civil responsibilities? Should they begin to talk nonsense or should they endeavor to understand what God is saying under such circumstances to His people; they should get all the facts and make wise decisions?

Israel was allowed to have a king over them like the pagan nations except that God was to do the choosing and set the requirements.  We learn about the bad judges and bad kings that ruled Israel. Who were the bad judges and bad Kings? The ones who did not read and study the law of God all the days of their lives, therefore they had no fear of God because they didn't feel compelled to keep the moral aspects of the law and decrees in the Commandments. The results were always disastrous for national Israel. However, when godly rulers were governing Israel they enjoyed prosperity and peace.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
