Worries on Earth

References: Matthew 6

Why worry? We can worry about the unknown. What will tomorrow bring? I know... more worry! There is cause to worry or no cause to worry. Either way we will worry. We can have a worried look or a worried posture. We can be weighed down by worry. We can worry to the point of making ourselves sick. Maybe that's the secret: worry is an inside job.

The Sermon on the Mount begins with eight declarations that those who belong to God, through the sacrifice of Christ, are "blessed." To be blessed means that we are holy and called out of this world. We belong to God as his exclusive property. We must learn to obey the voice of our King when he tells us: "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well."

Christian Basics

Christian Basics is a tool designed to help believers grow in their Christian faith. After years
of counseling, teaching, and leading study groups, I felt the need for one comprehensive resource
that would satisfy the need for the basic foundational truths of the historic Christian faith.

This book is a composite of what I have been using in my 30 years of pastoral work. I have
seen many people benefit from these teachings. Also, I have presented this material with willing
unbelievers and have had positive results.

Christian Basics is just one of the many tools
featured in the ministry of Christian Life Tools
that are designed to lead people to a vibrant and growing Christian faith.

My prayers are with you as you use this book to strengthen your faith. My prayer is also that
you will find yourself helping someone else grow in their faith as well.

Blessings to you,
Ephesians 3:20
