In part two in our series in John’s first letter to the church, he addressed the reality of sin. John exhorts all believers to walk in the light. That is, we must learn to confess our sins. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
In part three in our series we will see that we are prompted not to sin. We are called to holiness. But if we do sin our Holy Assurance Policy has a value that is beyond anything of this world. We have an advocate who will speak to God on our behalf. We not only have an advocate, we also have an atoning sacrifice. We have a Savior: Jesus Christ. This miracle is open to the whole world.
