We often think of mothers as teachers, but God expects a man to do that for his family too. Dr. Kroll looks at some of the excuses men give for letting this job go to their wives, then he helps us understand the responsibility a father must take as teacher with several do's and don'ts. These include avoiding inconsistency; keeping your word; avoiding narrow-mindedness; keeping an open mind and ears to the needs of children; avoiding irritability and favoritism; training in both action and words to impart skills and knowledge; being available and attentive; and keeping it simple, relevant and current. Start early; be ready and patient in investing in teaching your children.Series: The Making of a Godly Man--1
