References: Ephesians 1
There are two elements that lead to salvation and an eternal inheritance: hearing the Word and trusting the truth. It's hearing and believing. When we do, God marks us as His own through the Holy Spirit's presence in our lives--He seals us. The Holy Spirit is the guarantee, the underwriter, of our inheritance. We'll look at how the Holy Spirit was promised in the Old Testament and by Jesus in the New Testament, when the promise was fulfilled in Acts 2, and how the Spirit continues His work today. We'll also learn that while the inheritance is ours, we don't receive it until the final redemption when we're united with God in heaven.
