Protecting Children from Religious Parents? - Richard Dawkins and the Big Bang

March 2, 2015
Richard Dawkins wants children protected from religious parents. “Which religion?”, We ask. Kevin Swanson lists several religions from which children ought to be protected, but doubtless Dawkins would disagree with us. Also, scientists are calling into question the Big Bang, the theory upon which humanist cosmology and ontology have rested for 40-50 years. Shifting foundations. This program includes: 1. The Worldview in Five Minutes 2. Generations with Kevin Swanson

Kevin Swanson explains why the worst countries in the world (for porn download rates) are Muslim. Then, we look at the Global Flight From the Family, as described by the Wall Street Journal. But what is the Christian's interaction with the world? Does a Christian doctor help lesbians with artificial inseminations? What about providing medical care for their babies? What would Jesus do? Undoubtedly He would ask them for a drink of water, and then tell them to "go get your husband."

Kevin Swanson reviews the 2015 Academy Awards, and finds a staggering degree of atheism, suicide, and the F word. Western culture has arrived at a philosophical cup de sac. It is more self-conscious of its own bankruptcy, much more than in the 1980s or 1970s. We take a look at 50 years of Academy Awards, and study the move from decadence to nihilism. Then there’s the good news - the Duggars are setting ratings records for TLC. This program includes: 1. The World View in Five Minutes 2. Generations with Kevin Swanson

Russell Moore of the Southern Baptist Committee on Ethics presses state officials to submit to the higher magistrate in every case, including same-sex marriage. Meanwhile, Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore appears more motivated than the other Moore, to provide exemptions for state officials from onerous federal court mandates. But what will happen should the U.S. Supreme Court force the states to provide marriage licenses to a man and his pig? Kevin Swanson introduces the doctrine of interposition, from historic Christian writings on this edition of the program.

What would happen if some Baptist pastor beheaded 21 Muslim taxi drivers in Chicago?  Would the other Baptist pastors condemn such an action? But why so much silence from the Muslim Imams, when the fundy Muslims roll up their sleeves and work their world domination project?  We take a look at the Siege of Malta in 1565 when the Christian world slapped the Muslim vision for worldwide conquest into paralysis for another 400 years.  Then, we take a look at the Christian view of church and state vs. the Muslim statist view.  1. The Worldview in 5 Minutes - News from a Biblical Worldview 2. Generations, Hosted by Kevin Swanson

Rob Bell tells Oprah that “The Church” or “A Church” is going to embrace “gay marriage.” And he’s not paying attention to letters written 2,000 years ago. However, Kevin Swanson comes off quite passe and irrelevant, and quotes letters from 2,000 years ago. . .again. Bill Jack challenges Wheaton College to remove Rob Bell’s books from their bookstore. And, the Pope and the Vatican rolled out the red carpet for a pro-gay Catholic organization as well. Who will keep the faith, in this century?

Why are some Christians so ugly and mean, while some non-Christians are so nice? Nice will not get you to heaven, but the question remains. Shall we look at everything in the world of unbelievers as evil and wrong? Kevin Swanson discusses Common Grace with Author Marion Clark, on this edition of the program.

Dutch doctors are embracing euthanasia for non physical suffering. Canada has just approved euthanasia by a unanimous decision of the highest court in the land. And Big-government, Big-business, and Big-medicine are auctioning off elderly people like cattle. Is there an alternative? Kevin Swanson challenges families to reconsider the alternatives to governmentalized and institutionalized medical systems.

It is a story of teenage rebellion. It is the story of sudden tragedy and the loss of a husband. It is the story of orphans adopted. It is the difficult story of a messy world. But it is the story of God’s grace. On this edition of Generations, Shari McMinn speaks of the tremendous blessing of covenant bonds that bend a little, but they don’t break. Shari is the author of a new book, called “Stretched, Yet Unbroken.” Here is a huge encouragement if you have ever lost a loved one, if you have ever adopted a child or think about it, or if you have ever had a wayward child. These are inescapable realities in a fallen world. But there is one more inescapable reality you need to know about! God’s grace.

Once again, we deal with the knotty problem of religious freedom in prisons, or elsewhere. Does the government owe protection of every cult that practices human sacrifice, etc.? We also take a look at the growth of Islam and the shrinkage of the Christian faith in England.

We review the 2015 Grammys, and take a look at the predominant culture themes – not much different from last year. . . the glorification of sexual decadence, self, and religious synthesis. Then, Kevin Swanson asks the question, “Who was the greatest killer of the 21st Century? Carl Djerassi or Josef Stalin? Worldviews matter. Some believe these men brought freedom to the world. Others believe that they brought sorrow and devastation.
