The only nations left with positive birth rates are found in Africa, along with Saudi Arabia, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, just in case you want to know which nations will dominate the world in 2100 AD. Are empty cribs related to empty pews? The dying of faith seems to have some link to the dying of family. We take a moment to talk about only child families, the prevalence of which has doubled since 1976. The encouragement is to be thankful for the children that God gives to us. How do we view each other in the church where families are blessed with varying numbers of children?

We are a little shocked when we learn that the majority of members in one of the most conservative Presbyterian denominations accepts homosexuality. A bit of a controversy arises among PCA leaders surrounding the pride marches. Shall we street preach or pass out water bottles to the pride marches? Would we pass out water bottles and food to predator men who are picking up underaged girls on the beaches? Kevin Swanson warns about endless discussions on strategies in reaching out to sinners with the Gospel. However, there should be something of an assessment of the hardness of hearts in various contexts. WWJD? Would Jesus do acts of mercy and miracles in Capernaum given the hardness of men’s hearts? This introduces an important discussion on the definition of love. Do we coddle people in their sins, or introduce the Gospel to them?

The whole world is celebrating pride unlike any other time in human history. Pride has never been this celebrated, this virtuous, and this widespread. What kind of fall might come after this kind of pride? Could the final judgment of the nations be right around the corner now? The problem is the minimization of God and the maximization of man. . . and the consequences are dire. But, what is the antidote for those who wish to hide themselves in the day of God’s judgment?

Is there a heritage to honor with this country, or even with the heritage of Christian faith (that all Christians can enjoy)? We honor a rich heritage given by God in this country — the culmination of a Protestant Reformation from the 17th Century. Then, we identify the worst moments in American history - days that will live unto infamy. And, we look at the best moments — the high points of American history that were born of American faith. The great Christians who went before us left a legacy which must be honored. The stories really must be told.

God brings temporal destruction on places like San Francisco. Then there is eternal destruction as well. A recent study found that fundamentalist Christians do not have hell anxiety, whereas doubters do. We provide reasons why believers don’t need to fear hell, and how you can be sure you are going to heaven.

A popular homeschooling resource is promoting homosexuality, and more cause to realize that this stuff isn’t neutral. But, most Christian parents are still drawn to the free public schools and free curriculum regardless of the consequences. How do worldviews affect literature, history, and science, and thereby rob our children by philosophy and vain deceit?

It was the explosive moment of the season for The Bachelorette, when a professing Christian, Luke P. suggested that promiscuous sexuality might be bad.  The whole entertainment world slipped into a coma for a few hours. But then, another professing Christian, The Bachelorette herself told everybody that she can do “whatever,” and Jesus still loves her, and forgives her.  This introduces a conversation on the “Jesus Loves Me This I Know, So I’ll Keep on Rolling with the Flow” worldview. Does Jesus’s washing constitute only “forgiveness?”  What does it mean, when we read that all fornicators go to hell, and no homosexual will inherit the kingdom of God? Is it possible to have forgiveness without new life, and faith without repentance?

Bo Peep gets a masculine make-over. Jessie gets to be sheriff. And the domesticated life is pretty much jettisoned by the gang from Toy Story Land. Why do almost all of the sequels for these franchises tend towards the gender blender? Will we train our 10-year-old daughters in the feminist ideal? Toy Story 4 is the most popular children’s movie to date by first week box office sales, but will our 5-10 year old kids see the problem with Emersonian transcendentalism?

Eschatology and apocalyptic systems of thought can get you into a lot of trouble. How does one maintain the right balance when it comes to these mattes? What are the majors and what the minors in these debates? Christians divide on eschatology quickly, but what would a more prudent person do with the doctrine of the end of the world?
