When a Nation Chooses Darkness Part 3

October 21, 2010
Jesus said the light is among you. If the light is among us then how does a people fall into darkness? It happens when we reject God's knowledge. People hate the light when they do evil deeds. As a nation we have accepted the wrong definition of freedom that doing what we want in all areas of life because it feels good or brings us pleasure is the right way to live, but, how does that measure up to God's standards? Are we groping in darkness through our own doing?

Darkness is the absence of light. Throughout the Bible, darkness is associated with evil, affliction and ignorance. We are seeing how chaos and confusion are increasing in our nation more and more; we have to ask ourselves, has our nation as a whole chosen the way of darkness? If so, what can we do to change that?

How does a nation choose darkness? It does it by betraying good intellectualism, the good rules in the economy, falls into immorality and corruption in all of its institutions including the church. The majority of its citizens choose to detour from the path of God's truth and the principles He has given us for good government in the personal realm, in family and for society as a whole.

God is the only One who has the master plan for the proper function of the human race. He has established commandments that are not options but orders. The tenth commandment is "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's," Exodus 20:17. Is the soul of America poisoned with greed?

If the church is going to fulfill all of her responsibility she must heavily engage in training God's people. An area of great influence in society at present is education through home schooling, private and public schools. If society is going to have highly equipped teachers, then the church's responsibility is to train young people for the ministry of education.

The church is to train God's people. The church's functions are so dynamic and full of life when her teachings are well balanced, God centered, Christ centered and led by the Holy Spirit; the church can then worship God with clear understanding springing from the maturity of the believers. In turn, people develop a tremendous desire to serve the cause and purpose of the kingdom of God here on earth, with a prophetic voice exposing the evils and sinful nature of human behavior which, if left unchecked, destroys entire communities and nations.

Do not buy into the lie or the social pressure when they say "Christians should not judge others on moral issues." It is obvious that these "judgers" want to judge but not be judged. When they say that Christians should not judge the behavior of others yet they consider themselves free to judge the judging that Christians do; it's absurd!

We have mentioned the Bible teaches the concept that the church should provide and function in as court of justice to settle disputes, sin and discrepancies among the brethren. Such is the case Paul mentions in I Corinthians 5:1-13 among other biblical examples. Does this shock you?
October 11, 2010
Do you know that the church is supposed to be the prophetic voice in the nation? God established the church to be the gatekeeper and to sound the alarm when attacks come against God's people and their social order. Christians need to have a better understanding of this.

When Jesus was having the last Passover with the disciples, before his betrayal, a discussion arose among them in relation to which one was the greatest and Jesus answered let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. It is time for Christians to understand that service and authority are one and the same with God.

Did you know that the church is called upon to ask God's blessings on civil government who honors God's law? But also we are to pray negative sanctions on those civil servants who violate God's law. Does that statement surprise you? It might since God's character has not been taught rightly in much of today's pulpits.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
