The Presidential Crisis and What We Should Do Part 3

October 19, 2016
When the teaching of God’s Word gets diluted, it damages the spiritual, intellectual and emotional life of the believer. It is up to every believer in Christ to accept the fact that with the new life comes the personal responsibility to know the God and Jesus Christ of the Bible and to understand how the biblical principles apply to every area of life. Failure to comprehend the Full Counsel of God removes the believer from a productive life and engagement on a daily basis. It is not acceptable for God’s people to be biblically uneducated.

A little over two hundred years ago the nation was still mindful of Christianity, but the pulpits of the churches began to stop paying attention of what was being developed right before their eyes when the Federal government was created. Little did they know it was to become such a great dominating power that would engulf future generations proving that the experiment of government had failed and would become no different than any other system that ruled the nations or kingdoms for thousands of years. America is now under a great reality check, and it will take hard work by committed people to reverse this trend, and one thing remains certain it is not the end of the world.

Are you concerned for the future of America? If you are a reasonable person, you should be. You also should know that every presidential election has always been a crisis that continually grows. The only difference in this presidential election is that things in the nation are much worse than before, it is the outcome of every past generation that has made the same mistakes leaving a legacy of problems to the next generation, by their attitude of kicking the can down the road. So, what can we do to fix this?

It is the citizens who are responsible for their civil government. We are the ones who can demand from the elected officials to act according to the rule of law, they are not little gods; they too are citizens like us. They cannot negate the only universal principles of law and order for social stability. God’s people are called to overcome evil not to run away from it or ignore, tolerate, or lie down and concede.

True Christians should never vote out of loyalty to a party or a person, rather, by understanding the profile of each candidate that is seeking our approval to occupy a public office. We are not called to vote for evil nor do we have a valid excuse for doing so. We are accountable for our vote or the lack there of.

The minefields begin to detonate every election cycle. When electing individuals to public service, if it is done in haste without the proper analysis of who people are or what their background is, something that is very necessary to know the way they think and how they make decisions; hasty emotional decisions hinder good judgment. When those who are running for public office don’t bear God’s fruit. What do we do?

During an election cycle it is not about voting for the lesser of two evils or our conscience, it is about understanding what God is revealing to us concerning the condition of those who are at the helm of civil government or those who want to be. Many nations profess to be Christians and yet their social outcome is far from manifesting the fruits that corroborate the character and social institutions that represent God’s form of government here on earth as it is in heaven; this includes the United States of America. It is time to change that.

During election cycles, it is not uncommon to hear people say: “choose between the lesser of two evils.” This statement is meant to express when the choice of candidates are so bad that justification must be made to choose the less bad one, how accurate is this view? More importantly, is that what God says in His Word? Putting reality into perspective aligned with the biblical Worldview is a priority for all professing Christians.

The story in Acts 4:32-37 (where they had everything in common) should not be misinterpreted, as the socialists and communists do when they say that is a model of Christian society. We need to read the context and understand chapter 5:1-12. Chapter 6:1, which reveals that having all things in common, was not working. The tagging of Christian socialism to a political party and ideologies is misleading and a trap for Christians that lack knowledge in the biblical worldview.

You’d better believe Jesus was anti-socialist; He came to solve all of the human problems but not with men’s doctrines. When people open their minds to the biblical worldview and not focus on the failure of the institutionalized church, a light turns on in the human spirit.

"The masses continue with an appetite for benefits and the habit of receiving them by way of a rule of force and violence. The people, having grown accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others... institute the rule of violence; and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder, until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." - Polybius, 200-118 B.C., Roman historian

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
