The Importance of Our Relationship with God Part 2

April 26, 2012
God tells us "...But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:5,9). If God places such importance in His relationship with Him should we only dedicate left over time to it?

How important is our relationship with God? Can we afford not to make it a priority? Who else besides ourselves gets affected when we distance ourselves from our God? In what areas do we experience the negative consequences as a result of neglecting our walk with the Lord? All of these are very valid questions that should be in the forefront of concern for every believer and answered satisfactorily

It is easy to blame everyone, especially the government, for the deplorable condition of the nation. Even the church is pointing the finger to those in government as the main culprits but she has to see that there are three fingers pointing back at her.  The church has been in the same corrupted position as the State, because instead of worshiping and serving God she goes after people’s money, the church does not teach the righteousness of God knowing this will disturb the church members, so they speak lies using God’s Word.

How do we go wrong? We go wrong by not worshiping and serving God.  When we do this we feed upon our own lusts and wrong ambitions; can anything good be the outcome?  Of course  not!  Jesus had an experience with Satan who tempted him with power, wealth and all the sinful pleasures that come with that in the great temptations. Jesus did not give in to the temptation and he has given us that same power to resist evil. No one can make us do it we have to want to.

A recent Rasmussen poll had reported that hate has risen in the United States 55%.  This clearly shows that times are changing and not for the  better.  The only thing that can control the sinful nature of man is a renewed spirit in Christ.  It is hopeful to wonder why God does not come and put an end to all of the effects of sin once and for all. From Genesis through Revelation we learn that God does not compromise His Way, His Truth and His Life. So rest assured that in time He will do away with all this contamination.  In the meantime He is giving you and me an opportunity to be included in His plan for the end result His way.

Are we losing the nation? What kind of nation are we leaving to future generations?  If we do not do something to stop the disastrous trends we can kiss the America we have known good bye. If the State cannot stop crime who can?  This is an excellent question. If you are a follower of Christ, a true disciple, then you are the answer to the crime epidemic sweeping the nation.

The crime statistics are staggering and we must ask ourselves why crime it is so rampant. All of us are at high risk to be violated against in some form or another. We are reaping the consequences of turning our back on godly virtues and right ethics. We err in believing that all we need to have an orderly society can be provided by the State. The State cannot stop crime, because it cannot stop the evil that in in the heart of the individual.

Wicked laws and policies are the main cause of internal ruin. The accumulative wicked laws and policies of previous administrations will take a toll on a nation. Here is a question from the Psalmist: “Can wicked rulers be allied with you, those who frame injustice by statute? Psalm 94:20.  Who is responsible to undo those wicked and perverse laws? We the people and no one else is responsible. When God’s people understand the meaning of God being the priority in their lives. A society can change through enormous effort to engage in an unrelenting cultural war to eradicate error.

Is it possible for Christians in America to recuperate God’s Law in what seems like a lost nation? The optimistic answer is yes. The flip side to that optimism is the question, if Christians in America have grown cold and hard against God’s Law-Word, and are they open to acknowledge that the nations conditions is in relation to their rejection of God’s Standards?

Faithfulness in teaching God’s Word will prompt people to change their unpleasing ways before God. Historically when this happens people begin to work the long plan of national restoration; this includes the monetary system. They begin to see money not as a god to be loved but something to be used accroding to God’s system which is His only delight.

The tax burden upon the American people is insane.  We might as well admit reality that we are enslaved by our government.  Individuals in government have no heart for their fellowman no matter how much they want to portray in their speeches that they do. The only way out of this mess does not depend on who is in the White House but if this nation is going to return back to God's principles for right living.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
