References: James 1

Imagine waking up in the morning, going into the bathroom, flipping on the light, and seeing a terrifying image reflected in the mirror! Can you picture it?! The giant cowlick on the back of your head; pillow lines etched across your cheeks; bags under your eyes. Instead of jumping in the shower as fast as you can, you just shrug your shoulders and walk out the door! That’s crazy, right?! But according to James, that’s exactly what we do all the time with God’s Word. Whenever we hear the Word and refuse to live by the Word, we are just like a man who looks at his face in the mirror and doesn’t do anything about it.

Esther: The Shadow Sovereign
Scandals abound in a drama cast in the ancient Persian Empire. At first glance, Esther is the heroine and Mordecai the master manipulator. Take a closer look, however, and you’ll discover that behind the scenes, God is pulling the strings as His sovereign providence unfolds.
