Kennetha Gaebler, "Unshackled!" writer, received her B.A. in 1966 at Ohio State University while her husband was a fighter pilot in Vietnam. She worked in the Hollywood animation industry for fifteen years, studios like Hanna-Barbara and Filmation, drawing shows like "Lassie" and "Fat Albert." Kennetha Gaebler and her husband spent ten years in the Middle East, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Bahrain. While living in Tehran in 1976, she had a supporting role in the play, "Inherit the Wind." She worked as an animator during those years. In the 1980s she was a partner in a commercial animation studio in Colorado Springs. She earned a Masters degree in Communication from Regent University in 1988, and her last work in Hollywood came as Line Producer on the animated series "Peter Pan and the Pirates" for Fox Television. She has been writing for
Unshackled! since 1990.
Pacific Garden Mission published her first book,
Unshackled! Stories of Love and Hope in 2004. She and her husband live in Colorado Springs near their two sons and families.
