The Zaqen (Elder) Speaks
“Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations. Ask your father, and he will show you: Your Elders, and they will tell you” Deuteronomy. 32: 7
A Zaqen is Hebrew for a full man. He has three things on his mind: He wants to connect with his family and connect his family together. He wants to correct; all the wrongs that were made in his early years all the people and the bad choices he made. Then he would like to contribute, the people closes to him, his sons or daughters or share with the next generation.
The thoughts of a Zaqen:
- What is it of my life I can give to others?
- Who in my life wants what I am willing to give.
- Who is willing to receive the life lessons I have learned.
- Who can I with my example lift to the next level?
- Who can I with my words encourage them to keep on keeping on?
- Who can I with my life lead to the Lord Jesus Christ?
