In partnership with the Wycliffe Global Alliance, JAARS desires to see the Bible translated for every people group that still needs God’s Word in its own language. JAARS helps provide technical support services such as aviation, transportation, information technology services, and Scripture-focused media tools.
The two-minute weekly program, Speeding the Word, features personal stories of how God is using Bible translators and support personnel to bring His Word to those that do not have it.
Arthur Lightbody produces and hosts the program. A long-time Wycliffe member, Arthur served with his wife Kathleen in the Philippines from 1979 to 1990 in translation and administration. During that time, he helped translate Genesis and Matthew for a language group of about 10,000 people.
Arthur later served in various administration and public relations assignments with Wycliffe Bible Translators and JAARS, Inc.
